I drive an old conversion van to take on vacations and it broke down in Elk City USA.  I left it there for repairs and they took a month to do the above work and charged me an arm & leg.  They had recommended a bunch of transmission work as well, but I felt like I was being robbed (duh...) so I got it out of there.  Van was still acting up so I took it to Candlewood who has serviced my family's cars since the 80's.  They had it in and out in a couple of days and repaired the shoddy work from the Elk City GM dealership at half the price.  Van drives like it's brand new now.  They also told me that the "recommended" transmission work was not only unnecessary and hugely expensive, but may in fact lead to more problems.  Debbie is always very honest with what needs be done with the car and the prices and service are hard to beat.  Best deal in town and I've been to plenty of places.

All good. I called them at 8 AM expecting to have to wait until Monday but they were able to work me in. They called me back with a diagnosis and estimate before noon and had the job finished around 330. The cost was a little less than the estimate and the car was clean when I picked it up-no hand prints or smudges on the hood or engine. The shop is very neat and clean as well.

All the repairs were performed in a timely manner.

Everything went very smoothly. We were able to drop the car off in the evening after hours, the next morning we received a phone call letting us know what the diagnosis was along with an estimate. We told them to proceed with the repairs and they were done that afternoon before 4.
I believe they are a family owned operation and the service is very personable.

They worked quickly to get it replaced and provided transportation to and from home and garage.

They are great and have reasonable prices. If we don't get the work done through the dealer we go to them.
