Big Sky Roofing

Got on the roof, and nailed in a few loose shingles for us and told us we didn't need a roof at no charge.

The did what they were supposed to do on time and according to the bid plus a few little extras at no charge. Were very responsive to ancillary concerns such a shrubbery and such.

The first time I called Big Sky Roofing I was looking for a free estimate to ventilate my roof with soffit vents and a ridge roof vent. I spoke with Rachael and she gave me a date and time when Larry Sanders would be by to give estimate for the soffit vents. He showed up on time looked around and told me they would e-mail an estimate which they did promptly. Later that same day another young man came (sorry I forgot his name, shame on me) got on the roof and measured the ridges for the estimate and also looked over my roof to make sure everything was ok after the storm , it was. He was very courtious. I found an Angies List Deal for exterior painting by Big Sky Roofing . The deal was two painters to paint the exterior of your home , eight hours each for $500.00 . This was a deal I counld'nt pass up. I had been wanting to paint the house for a while now but could not find a painter for less than $2000.00. Iam on a budget and Iam repairing this house with cash not credit. So everything I do must be saved up then spent. So instead of ventalation which will cost a whopping 1500.00 for both soffit vents and ridge vent we decided to paint the house and do ventalation at a later date with Larry and Big Sky. Called Larry Sanders to come out and see how much of the house they could paint for $500.00. We agreed on gables and trim but not on windows which I said I could do, no problem. The garage was not included but by the time they were almost finished with the house the garage was looking kinda of old and worn and did not make the house lood good so I asked Larry how much more for the garage doors but not the roof trim because I could reach that and paint it myself. He said $100.00 more and we agreed. It took 3 phone calls and 3 changes on the date to start due to rain and scheduling but finally the day arrived. Larry and Jamie did a wonderful job. Every attention to detail was paid. They were courtious, friiendly and professional and cleaned up everything when the job was done. There is nothing like a fresh coat of paint to bring a house back to life. I had the vision in my head and Larry and Jamie brought it to life. Thanks guys for a job well done.

Everything went fine. The gentleman performing the work was thorough and efficient and provided me with the details of the work performed.

I called Big Sky to come and look at our roof after an EF1 Tornado went through our neighborhood. FORTUNATELY it was a weak tornado and on the street behind our house-but strong enough to pull trees out of the ground. I figured for sure we would have some sort of wind or hail damage to the roof. They came out with in the same week of the storm and found one spot where hail had punched through which they patched for free. They said the roof was in great shape otherwise. I was relieved and impressed at the impromptu patch work. When the time comes in the future for a new roof, I'll be calling Big Sky for sure. :)

The company came out and quoted 2 extra days at over $1,000 a day plus we would still have to buy the paint. There's no way we wanted to pay that amount. We should have done more research before we purchased this Deal. They were poor in their response time to us as well. We have since found someone to do this job for $1,100 including paint.

Being an insurance investigator, I am very experienced in what a roofing company should be doing and the job was done very well.

I called and emailed several companies for estimates as recommended by my insurance company. Big Sky was the only company that called and scheduled an appointment within 1-2 business days. The individual I spoke with on the phone was courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. She listened and took all of my information and scheduled a date for the estimate. I was provided the name of the individual that would complete the estimate and was informed that I will receive a phone call prior to the appointment. All went as scheduled. I must inform that I never heard back from several companies (Salazar and a few others) and therefore decided to contract with Big Sky. The staff called me and explained the process and informed me of every step in the process. I was notified as to when the materials would be delivered and the date the work would be started. Just as I expected, the materials were delivered as scheduled (27 June ) and the work began the next day and was completed within two days. The final inspection of the roof was completed within 2 business days. I am very pleased with the final product. Many of my neighbors have already commented on my new roof and gutters. I have already referred others to Big Sky Roofing. I will not hesitate to tell other individuals about my experience. Big Sky is a great company based right here in Oklahoma!!! Gustavo did the estimate, and was very professional and knowledgeable, and fair. I have a small home, and it was finished in one day as promised. My only concern is the office staff. At times, I noticed that they were unprofessional. I don't think it was intentional,but a course in good phone ettiqutte would help them out a great deal. Aside from that I was very pleased, and would use them again. .

Jeff met with us to make a bid (we took several bids). He consulted with his more experienced brother when he felt he needed additional info due to our questions. We felt well -covered at that point; not concerned that he wanted to review with someone more experienced. Office was very polite. They called to move our date back a few days, but that was due to weather. Crew was prompt and thorough. Found some rotten boards no one expected and replaced those. Cleaned up daily when leaving and final clean up was extremely impressive. Not a single nail was found behind. Jeff inspected before expecting payment. They were most reasonable bid we found and we are very happy. Neighbors used another business and are not so pleased with their contractor. They wish they had used Big Sky.

Great experience and quality work done. I still haven't found a nail in the yard from the roof replacement. Would use again!

Contractor did a 'spray paint' job (as expected). However, there were a few imperfections and inadequate coverage at some 'tough' spots. I spent some time touching those areas with a paint brush. However, for the price, the service was very good and I would use this contractor again.

After trying to get an estimate from another contractor and being stood up twice I was very happy when Big Sky showed up when they said they would show up for the estimate and to do the work. The estimator was very professional. After the estimate there was no pressure to sign on the dotted line. I had time to compare their pricing to others. I called the next day and faxed all the needed paperwork. One item needed correction and the contact emailed the new documents to me so I was able to quickly resign, scan and email them back. We were able to agree on date for work immediately and within a week I had my new roof. The materials showed up the day before and the workers showed up on time and had my roof finished in one day. I was not required to pay until the original estimator returned to inspect the roof with me.

After having a horrible experience with a larger company with a ?local? office 3 years ago, I was very cautious and picky about selecting the appropriate company to replace my roof this year. I did a lot of research, talked to a lot of people, and interviewed several companies. In a sense, I was on a mission. I wanted to find a good company for myself as well as one that I could recommend with confidence to my friends andneighbors. After looking at Angie?s list, I selected 4 companies to talk with. Jason Casteel answered my request for information immediately and promptly made an appointment with me that worked into my schedule. It was a very busy time for roofers, yet Jason prompt and dependable. Furthermore, he patiently gave me all the time I needed to ask questions. He was extremely forthright and easy to work with. From my previous experience I learned that too many times roofing companies take advantage of unsuspecting consumers while milking the insurance company. That only contributes to the skyrocketing insurance costs. Legitimate roofers work continuously with insurance companies and know in advance what an insurance company is going to allow for the damage to your roof. Legitimate insurance companies know how much to allow for repairs and still provide a profit for legitimate roofers. Therefore, there is no reason for an ethical roofer to not provide you with a quote/estimate prior to you signing up with them, especially if you have a good insurance company. Jason gave me an estimate. It was extremely reasonable. In fact, quite lower than most others ? even the ones who don?t hand nail. Because it was still spring, 2012, I wanted to wait until all chance of bad weather passed before doing the job. I wanted to be fair with my insurance company. Jason was very flexible and accommodating. He was not in a hurry to make any quotas and didn?t pressure me. In fact, he took time over the next several months to stay in contact with me and answer additional questions for me. Together, we decided to wait until the following spring in 2013. When I called to make the appointment, Jason got me in right away. More amazingly, he stuck with the same quote he previously gave me. He bent over backwards to help me out and do right by me! The crew showed up bright and early and went right to work. Roberto was friendly and polite. The crew set up and I was comfortable going off to work and leaving them there to do their job. I admit I was hesitant to return home from work that day, for fear of finding debris all over my yard and gardens (like I did in my previous experience). Instead, I found the crew still working HARD and no mess or damage. They worked until dark. It was amazing. They were working so hard that one of the guys was actually getting cramps and crying out in pain. I felt bad for him. However, I was very thankful for their work ethics and desire to do a good job. Although there was no threat of rain, the crew took time, after dark, to put a tarp over the part of my roof that still need some work. Again, going beyond the norm: these guys are great! The next day they were there bright and early. This time, when I got home they were finishing up. I couldn?t believe how clean verything was. I can?t tell you how wonderful it is to go through such an ?invasive? experience and have it be a GOOD experience. NO stress. NO hassle. ONLY good guys doing a good job and doing it with outstanding customer service. Instead of wanting payment that day, they give you a couple of days. This gives you time to ?find? anything that you have concerns about. I found nothing. After a couple of days, they sent Gustavo out to do the final inspection. Again, he was very courteous and answered all my questions. He inspected everything and asked if I needed/ wanted anything else. I asked for his name and told him that I wanted to write (my first ever) Angie?s list rave in appreciation for the awesome job everyone did and I wanted to mention everyone by name, because they deserve it! If you need roof work of any kind done in the OKC/Edmond area, I can whole heartedly give my full endorsement for every aspect and every person at Big Sky Roofing. With all that us Okies have been going through in these last two years with tornados, wind storms, ice storms, flooding, etc. the last thing we need is to be taken advantage of. Jason, Roberto, Gustavo and the other fine folks at Big Sky are hardworking, honest, ethical, fair and do outstanding work. They are good Oklahoma folk. They caulked around the chimney for free to fix the leak. They also checked our our roof due to all the hail recently. They said the roof could wait a little if we wanted but they asked that we consider them when we go to replace our roof. We are grateful for their help.

This is second time I have utilized Big Sky Roofing and just as pleased as the first time. Was concerned about condition of roof after tornadic storm that included high winds and hail. After the storm, I was approached by different men coming to my door offering roofing services to fix supposed storm damage. Told them adamantly no. Called Big Sky and left message and surprised at prompt reply because I was aware of all the damage in my area. Receptionist was very pleasant and able to set up appointment for roof inspection in only two days. On morning of appointment Jeff called forty-five minutes before due time to relate he had had a cancellation and would it be all right to come at 9:30 instead of 10? Told him no problem. He was punctual, courteous, professional, and polite. When he was done inspecting the roof he related that the roof was in good shape and just one slightly loose shingle over the back gutter that he glued down. He made the suggestion that I get the branches on the tall maple tree next to my house trimmed because the winds were causing them to scrape against the roof which could lead to damage. When I asked him how much I owed he responded "nothing". That he didn't feel he had done anything. What was reenforced was the impression I had gotten the first time I used this company. Honesty and integrity. They would definitely be the first company I would call if and when the time comes that I need a new roof. Thank you Big Sky. Please don't ever change.

I was really happy with them. Their pricing was reasonable. It was a great deal. They are really polite, courteous and professional. They are reputable.

We contacted the business and arranged for an appointment. Jason came to inspect our sky lights and indicated how to make the needed repair. A crew arrived later in the afternoon to accomplish the work. Our problem appears to be fixed. All employees were courteous and contucted themselves in a professional manner.

They checked everything. They found a couple of small problems and fixed those as well. They were quick, courteous, and did very nice work. It was a one price deal and they repaired everything they found. I did not have any extra costs.

I heard a little banging, never saw sealant but that doesn't mean they didn't do it. My only issue is that the whole thing took 20 minutes for $150, ($300 value?) and then they made a 15 minute hard sell for a new roof.

Great. They were professional and did a great job. They came when they said and completed the work when promised.
