Finally showed up at 9:30pm on Sat. night. His quote over the phone was $1000 but upon arrival upped it because it "was a bigger job" . He then charged $1400 up front. We were desperate as they were getting in the house itself and we have a 3yr old child and were concerned about the risk of rabies. He worked for several hours on the roof and did close up a lot of holes. But 3weeks later we are still having bats getting in the house and are afraid to have the baby sleep there. After calling other contractors found that the going rate was closer to $200 and the type of "one-way door" he installed was just a cone of screen and there was a possibility of re-entry. He had given us a 2 yr. money-back guarantee and offered to come back and work on it again but we were not comfortable that he would solve the problem. And with a child sleeping there we need to know its taken care of permanently. So we are paying another contractor to redo it. Hopefully we will have better luck this time. He claims his methods are fine but even if he had successfully cleared the house of bats his price was way out of line for what he did.
Description of Work: Attempted to rid the attic of a bat colony. He was supposed to put up one- way exits and seal everything else. He gave us a 2yr written guarantee that we would be free of bats.
