A week later, I found myself back in the city desperately trying to locate a garage door installation company. I was searching on Craigslist and found All About Doors literally all over craigslist, being listed in as many different categories as possible. Desperate because we were about to have to pass inspection any day now, I regretably decided to go ahead and give them another call. The owner answered, I could tell he recognized my voice but hoped I didn't recognize his. I asked him if he could please copme out and install the doors that day, which was a week later from the original incident. He agreed to come out that afternoon. He arrived with his wife, the apparent co-owner, to install the garage doors. I acted normal and allowed him to install the doors. When it was time to pay I told them I was going to reduce the price $50 because of the expensive problems they caused me the previous week. I made out the check, as they stood there silent and embarrassed. He admitted to me that, since I unfortunately had expressed to them that my wife had recently stolen all my money and ran off, his wife convinced him I didn't have any money to pay them with, even though I originally promised to have his payment before he even started. I originally told them, I could drive down and pay them personally, have an employee bring them cash, or I could pay them over the phone with a debit card. They decided for some reason instead to just blow me off. Fast forward a week, I write them a check reduced by $50 and about two minutes after they received the check, the owner blows up and grabs out his power tools and aggressively starts trying to take down the garage doors, post-installation. I start begging them to please leave the garage doors, $50 was more then fair, since I already wasted 24 hours and a lot of money. After a dispute he agreed to reduce the price by $25! I agreed just so they wouldn't remove the garage doors. I only had one check left, which was reserved for another contractor, so I rewrote the new total over the old total, initialing my corrections, telling them if their bank has any problems cashing the check to just have them call me. Unfortunately for everyone involved, they don't use a bank, instead they use a check cashing place. The check cashing place did not accept the check so I was forced to meet up with them again, giving them my last check, putting myself and my other contractor in a bind. They were very anxious to go deposit/cash their check so I was very surprised to not ever see their check hit my account, but since i had been having continual problems with my online banking statements, I decided to check in with All About Doors to make sure everything with the check went fine. His response was, "its been cashed." This was on a Monday. I was very relieved to be done with them. That Friday I was taking care of an elderly client who needs a lot of care and attention. During my care taking of this elderly client my phone starts ringing off the hook. Not only was my already fairly jacked up due to my babies messing with it, my phone was almost dead with 6% charge left, and I was in the middle of taking care of a very special person.I started receiving threatening messages from his wife accusing me of screwing them over. I was flabergasted, especially since I was under the impression given to me by her husband, that they were paid days ago. I responded by text and said, "I am sorry. I am with a client right now, and my phone is about to die but I can pay them by debit card later that evening or get them over $500 in cash that next day as an initial payment, since that was all I had available at that time. They proceeded to tell me If I didnt answer my phone they were going to press charges and file a lean. At this point I was getting very angry how quickly they were escallating the situation since they had just told me minutes prior. Needless to say my jacked up phone eventually died while I was trying to text with them and care for my client. I continued with my client. That evening as my phone was charging I started receiving a host of messages from them and their cohorts. They continued to have two different friends contact me as a rouse saying they have a large job they needed me to show up at immediely, as if All About Doors was ran by thugs. I also received a very angry message from my garage door client saying that his worked had just called him saying that All ABout Doors was about to file a lean on my clients property, (my client was away for a major life threatening surgery!) Livid, I called All ABout Doors. The owner answered, I told him I was irrate, especially since days ago he personally told me the check was cashed and then 5 days later, half way through the day they start accusing me of trying to screw them over. He expressed that his check cashing place was charging him a lot of money for the check not going through. We ended the conversation and then his wife called back, angerally stating they had gone to the police department and filed charges against me for hot checks. They also told me it was a felony and that the police would be putting out a warrant for my arrest. They explained I now had to pay several hundred dollars more to pay the check cashing fees, the police department fees, and if I didnt come up with the money within hours that they would be filing charges. I was very, very angry since I felt like they had been screwing me over since day one. Regretably I lost my cool with her, screaming and cussing now, I told them I could not afford to have felonies or leans on my clients property and I obviously needed to get an attorney involved. They said they wouldn't file a lean if I promised to pay them the full amount by 1 pm the next day. I had a very late night tending to a sick baby. The owner started texting my phone at 8:30 am saying if I dont respond quickly confirming I would be there at 1pm that they would file a lean. I had not yet received that message. As soon as I made it to my phone around 930 am I found my phone filled with p***** off messages from my sick client who had just gottenpout of surgery to receive another message from his employer stating they were about to file a lean on their property. At this point I was red in the face, called my attorney and asked hi
Response from All About Doors LLC
"I am the owner of All About Doors, lets tell the real story!! This man called asking for service then after we scheduled a date called to see if he would be there to pay he stated his wife left him and drained bank account so no we did not perform service if you cant pay! Second he calls a week later stating he had bank problems cleared up we came installed doors and he refused to pay, so we began taking our property back which is policy if we are still on property and payment is not refused. Then he decided he would have to pay or we would remove doors, HE WROTE US A HOT CHECK PLAIN AND SIMPLE. We gave him over 48 hours to clear it up, and he refused so we pressed charges. He then had his girlfriend call us , meet us and pick it up because he has warrents all over okc and is a dead beat dad avoiding getting served. He is a scam contractor, praying on the less fortunate of moore. We were able to get ahold of home owner who was on VACATION not in hospital and yes he was VERY ANGRY but not at us at BRANDON GREEN with ALL THINGS, We never had any complaints from any paying customer we have 100% satisfaction guarenteed! No suprise he is mad, he obviously wanted the doors for free.and is very angry and hostile because he got caught in his scam he is not even liscensed come to find out! He made violent threats to my wife and his behavior is unacceptable!"
