Adam made himself available to review the siding before my contractor was done installing it. He looked at everything and mentioned many things that the contractor really needed to fix before they were done. I brought the same items to the contractor's attention and Adam assisted in explaining the details. Even after all the issues were corrected by the contractor, Adam used more than twice as many tubes of caulk to seal all the places that needed it. Adam is very good at matching colors to the brick and roof of the house and he had to do some serious talking to convince me that the colors I initially chose were too old fashioned and would not help the house looked as updated as I wished. Adam came everyday for 3-8 hours working diligently. He did all the work himself and he was very meticulous. He informed me that he had to work my project around the schedule of his crews, which was fine with me. I was interested in quality work not speed. It was a big job and it took about 2 weeks + for him to finish the outside. Adam did 2 coats on all surfaces even though he used expensive paint that has paint and primer in one. He was very good about checking over things after they were dry to make sure every area has the same shine quality. After the outside had been done for a number of days, I found that the cross supports on the ceiling of the back porch seemed to show the path of the last coat of the paint with the roller. It looked slightly duller than the surrounding area. Adam came and looked at it and immediately put on another coat of paint over the whole ceiling. Adam is very sharp and has tremendous attention to detail. I found him very trustworthy and sincere. He respected my home and sincerely understood that I had a limited budget and helped to keep everything very clear. He did not stray one dollar from the estimate he gave me. He stuck to it even though he used a great deal more caulk, cases of caulk, than he estimated. After he did such a wonderful job on the outside of the house, I hired him straight away to paint my living and dining room. YES!!!! I'd hire him again in moment! I highly recommend his work! And he's a delight to be around!
Description of Work: Adam McKenney has had his own commercial painting business for years. He enjoys doing detail work for homeowners while his crews work on big jobs. He came highly recommended. When he came to give me an estimate to paint all the new siding and existing wood on my house he explained exactly what he thought needed to be done and discussed all the details with me. Just by talking to him I could tell he was very particular about his work. He gave me a very competitive bid and won my trust.
