Prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. Had to work in our yard and our neighbor’s yard. Completed the work while we were not home, hauled all debris away, both yards were clean. Very happy with the service!

Don and his wife showed up for the initial estimate and inspection. They arrived promptly and were very accommodating with my needs, asking plenty of questions and also offering some additional advice to help achieve my goal of bringing more sunlight and open air into my backyard in an effort to grow Bermuda grass and cleanup the property.
I took his initial estimate and then requested to refine it slightly due to it being higher than I had budget for. They agreed to the slight price adjustment, and still offered to perform all the original work as outlined.
Due to the heavy Spring rains, we were not able to schedule the work right away - but his estimate of 2-3 weeks was followed up by a call a week later with a firm date, based on the latest weather forecasts. Once things dried out - his team, including his wife (who supervised and assisted the removal team) were here on-time and promptly went to work. They wasted no time getting the trees down, the trimming performed and cleaning up the stumps. Don, his wife and the entire team were professional and very friendly.

The 3 man crew did a great job.  The tree was between the house and the concrete drive.  They brought tires and heaped the cut branches on the tires to cushion the trunk sections to prevent damage to the drive.  They completed the task in about 4 hours and removed all the branches, leaving the trunks at my request for later milling.  The price was much less than a bid by a competitor and they were easy to deal with.  They have done work for my neighbors and I would gladly recommend their service.

EXTREMELY WELL. ARRIVED ON TIME, EXPLAINED WHAT WOULD BE DONE AND LENGTH OF TIME IT WOULD TAKE. GAVE ME HELPFUL HINTS ON KEEPING THE TREES IN GOOD SHAPE AFTER THEY WERE FINISHED. VERY FRIENDLY AND CLEANED UP THE YARD AFTER COMPLETION. TOOK 4 HRS TO COMPLETE THE WORK.
IT TOOK A FEW DAYS FOR THEM TO RETURN MY CALL BUT IT'S THE TIME OF YEAR ALL ARBORIST ARE BUSY. TOOK 3 WKS FOR THEM TO FIT ME INTO THE SCHEDULE BUT WORTH THE WAIT.

They did a great job. They climb trees and they just know what they are doing. They fixed up everything and they didn't leave behind anything. They stood overall and did the job for us. They were very reasonable. I am retired and didn't have much to spend. I told them what needed to be done and they did it. They were really good and really knew how to do their trade. Overall it was a good experience. It actually took three days before they came but they kept us informed of their time.

Don and Stephanie were just great. Both are professionally trained and very knowledgeable about plants, trees, bushes, etc. At the recommendation of a neighbor, I first contacted them in Nov 2013: almost everything in our yard needed attention. Don came by a few days after I called him and spent a lot of time with us: discussing options, offering suggestions, explaining the kinds of things they could do for the many tree and bushes in the yards. He didn't charge us for the consultation, even though it took well over an hour of his time. Once we had agreed on what should be done, he quoted us a price for all the work, a price that was well below what we had expected.
There was no urgency in getting the work done, so we agreed to wait until some time in January of 2014. Don, Stephanie, and his crew came today: everyone who came out was very efficient, clearly knew exactly what they were doing, and were great to deal with: they explained what they were doing, made suggestions as the work went along, and took care of a number of smaller things that needed attention but that we had not noticed before. Another thing that really impressed me is that they all really care about the health of the trees and other foliage, they all bring a lot of expertise to their work, and they're very gracious about explaining it to someone who has no expertise whatsoever (me).
Beyond the work they just finished, they really helped us out when, completely unexpectedly, several very large, heavy limbs came down in our yard during an ice storm on December 20, 2013. The debris blocked access to the yard and to the power line and cable, which these limbs had brought down. Although they were extremely busy with other jobs, after we contacted them they took the time to come by the house and remove the limbs that were blocking access to the yard, making it possible for the power and cable company to reconnect the lines. Don and Stephanie didn't charge us extra for this! The total amount we paid today was exactly what Don had quoted when he first visited us.
All in all, they're great people. Any time in the future that we need anything done, whether it's pruning or taking out existing trees or planing new ones, they are absolutely the ones we'll call!

I called in June and he was booked up for 2 months, so I told him I would wait. He showed up in August as scheduled and did all the work in a few days for the quoted price.

I had 6 trees I felt needed trimming with some due to clean up after an older initial trimming after a small tornado 2 years ago. The owner Don looked at all of the trees and suggested I not do any trimming on 2 Sweet Gums even though there was some limb damage. The reason was due to the trees recovering from the older damage and beginning to fill in empty areas. They also looked unhealthy so his suggestion was to feed them and deal with bugs.
He did suggest I add a systemic insecticide because of all the woodpecker holes in the tree. That means bugs in/under the bark and to stop the woodpeckers I had to get rid of their food. I did this the next week.
They took about 4 weeks to arrive but told me it would be 3-4 weeks so that was not any problem. They did all they said they would do
and did a very thorough job. They cleaned up all the trimmings and waste left from the trimming job. Don's wife was also on the job plus three other workers and everyone pitched in.
I WILL USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
Dan is an aborist and his wife is working currently on her credentials. They know their business.

It was an excellent service. He was on time for both the estimate and the work. He was very professional and polite. The owner's name is Don Menzie. He is a certified arborist. I had used him in the past and he had given me free guidance about a tree I had planted, and his price was considerably lower than other tree services I had used in the past. I would highly recommend Tree Wizard tree service.

It was a busy time of year so we waited a little while and through the holidays for them to get to us but it was worth it. Every thing went just like Don said it would and they finished every thing they promised and in record time.

It took three weeks for Don's crew to get out to do the work on this large job. I did have to call him a couple of times before learning that he was out of town and had been in and out of cell phone range. He said he'd call me when he returned to town the following Monday, and he did call me promptly as promised. Don will do what he says he's going to do, and I like that. However, on the responsiveness score I almost gave them a and quot;Band quot; due to the weeks I had to wait. He did tell me they were backed up a week or two, but when it went into 3-4 weeks I did find that a little difficult and thought he should have called me to follow up after two weeks of no contact. Still, he returned all calls within a reasonable time and got back to me when he said he would with a better estimate of when they would do the work. Over all, this amounted to a responsive person, so I gave them an and quot;Aand quot; on that. You can't fault a business for being so good that they have a lot of work!
We knew the work at my place would take most of the day. They arrived on time and worked professionally. Stephanie is an added bonus to any job; she is communicative, kind, and knowledgeable also. Everyone on the crew was polite and professional. They are responsive and sensible when, for instance, they find a possum sleeping in the hollow crook of a large tree, as they did on my property (we left Mrs. Possum alone).
In addition to the agreed-upon work, Don took out some stumps along a fence line that had made it hard to mow, and cleaned up under three large cedar trees so that we could mow under them and eventually get grass to come back. He also removed and ground a dead stump that wasn't in the contract, for a total of a lot of work that was well done, cleaned up professionally, and with no mishaps.
Tree work and removal is expensive and important to the aesthetics of any property. Tree Wizard does a great job in a professional, trustworthy manner. I would use them again, and recommend them for any job, large or small.

Received quotes from 3 different vendors to have a very large silver
maple taken down. Don arrived a few minutes early and had already
assessed the tree in question, another tree I was curious about, and the
neighbor's tree which was hanging over into my yard. He was very
knowledgeable about what needed to happen, WHY the tree couldn't be
saved and what to do about the neighbor's tree. He called me a few days
before to let me know that his crew would be there on Saturday. They arrived on time (8:00 a.m.)
They were very careful not to cause any damage to the house or vehicles close
by. Came back the next day to grind the stump. All in all, a very
good job. I am very pleased with the entire transaction. Other two
contractors were either more expensive or not as knowledgeable about WHY
I had to take the tree down.

Tree Wizard removed eight large red cedar trees and removed the stumps also. I am extremely happy with their work. I plan to use them again soon for tree removal services.
