I was with Safe and Sound over 10 years. When TAG The Alarm Group took over by alarm quit working. I though I no longer had service. The alarm was not armed for well over a year. (I guess I was still paying nearlu $50 a month- I failed to check my bank.) Anyways when I did finally get a bill from them, I canceld my service and they sent me an invoice for nearly $120. In my canel service letter I indicated that I did not have service for over a year and requested a refund. I called the Account managemnet department and the Custome Service was extermely rude. I am still waiting for the owner to contact me. I would not recommend this company to anyone. A prime example is not arming the system for over a year and the "monitoring" people never tried to contact me.

I would not recommend. They put you into a long term contract and their customer service is really poor. Also it’s $130 just to get a tech out.

In my opinion, The Alarm Group is just not that good. I say that, because I switched to another Alarm Company and the service has been great, and what I expected. I signed up maintenance coverage with the Alarm Group, but every time I had a Alarm issue, they the earliest they could respond was over 2 weeks. Not good when your alarm is not working. If you need immediate service, even if you are on a service contract, you have to pay for immediate service at a very high price. Recently I need a code for my Alarm, which they provided in the past. They now state that they can not find the code which will require me to have to buy a new alarm system. In my opinion, do not go with the Alarm Group if you are looking for a company that has very good technical support, which is very important when you alarm does not work.

I was with HESI for probably 5 or 6 years and had no complaints for their security system or customer service. But HESI was bought out by TAG. TAG started out helpful, but as soon as I signed a contract with them to upgrade my system, they became unresponsive. I had a front door lock that was tied to their total connect system, and they were charging me $5/month for it. That was fine, until a couple years later I wanted them to turn it off and that I wanted to stop paying for the front door lock. I also couldn't even get their total connect system to work anymore. They wouldn't return my calls. When they did, they said they couldn't help me. This went on for probably 6-10 months where I'd call once a month or so. It was only $5 a month, but their company was making me mad. So I decided to cancel. I think it took 2-3 months to cancel because "the guy" was always out of the office. Like TAG didn't even exist past the security alarm response team. So when I finally got it canceled, I learned that they have an AUTOMATIC contract renewal for 1 YEAR!!! Sure enough, it was in their contract in the fine print. If you're a lawyer, I'm sure you have no sympathy. But because it too so long for me to cancel their service, I was now canceling with 9-10 months left on the contract, and owed $360 to cancel. Buyer beware.

I cancelled my phone service in May which made my alarm system unworkable. I called to cancel my monitoring in June as there was nothing to monitor. I had been with the company for three years and they had not put in my system but I still signed a 3 year contract for the monitoring. They informed me that the contract automatically renewed in April for a year and that I would owe them for a year. Again. The company did not put in my system so they were not out any money for the equipment. They would not work with me on this and I found their business practices not only unethical but immoral. They were only out a monthly monitoring fee that they would not even be providing. DONT USE THIS COMPANY!!! If even one person decides to use someone else rather than them I will be happy.

I'd have to agree with the review that classifies Network Alarm's contract as abusive. But I'd go a step farther: I DID attempt to cancel the contract well over 30 days before the annual renewal (although I wasn't aware I was under contract, and they never could come up with a copy of the contract) and they simply played a cat-and-mouse game of "you'll have to talk to the owner"....the owner absolutely wouldn't return calls. At one point, one of their employees told me that she had handled the cancellation, but the bills continued. In the end, I literally paid the rest of the contract rather than taking them to court in order to avoid their threat of turning me over for collection and giving my perfectly clean credit rating a hit. In short, Network Alarm would rather trap you in a contract than simply provide good customer service. Speaking of customer service, each time we needed repairs, they would have to send someone out a second time because the information from the original service call simply got lost. This happened at least 2 or 3 times. My advice: Look elsewhere for a company that actually values your business. I had no trouble finding a better company, and am now perfectly happy. And no, my current alarm company does not require a contract.

I found them to be among the most expensive services around, and not very responsive. Additionally, their contract is abusive. It requires cancellation at least 30 days before the end of the contract or it is automatically renewed for a year. When I cancelled only 15 days before the end of the year, they billed me for two additional months and turned me over to a collection agency when I would not pay.

Network Alarm Service is very knowledgeable. They are the only people I trust to work on my alarm system. I will continue to use them and certainly would recommend them.
