Glass and Mirror Service
Replaced two single pane windows. Took less than thirty minutes. Came out and provided a free estimate first and then stayed within the estimate.

Glass and Mirror Service
We completely remodeled our bathroom and were in need of a new shower door. The opening was about 5' wide.
Metro Glass was OK to work with during the measuring and ordering phase. There were some missed appointments, but nothing too bad. After the door was installed, we took our first shower in it and got water all over the bathroom. They had installed the door backwards so that the lip at the bottom was channeling water out of the shower instead of in. They came back a few days later and reversed the door.
At that point, my wife complained that the door was too flimsy and shaky. In fact it was pretty flimsy for an $800 door. Metro came out and tried to stabilize the door and made it a little better, but it still shook, rattled, and flexed like cheap plastic. They told us that, with an opening of that size, it couldn't be helped. After we told them that wasn't acceptable, they offered to replace the door with thicker (1/4 inch) glass. However, when the thicker glass arrived, they realized that the frame they were using was too narrow to accept 1/4 inch glass.
So, they gave up. They removed the door and refunded our money. Other contractors have told us that Metro should not have tried to install a double-sliding door in a shower like ours. They should have had one side stationary with a smaller sliding section.
Overall, they made a good faith effort, but they were unable to do the work the way we wanted it. I gave them a 'D' overall because we spent many weeks working with them and in the end we're right back where we started...without a shower door.

After I got my car back, there was still glass in the floor board and running board. In that specific model there is a mirror with a compass in it. When they took the windshield out they took the mirror out. When they replaced it, the didn't reset it. I asked if they could, and the lady at the counter told me that there was no one there with that kind of expertise. She told me that If I had the manual to the car she would be happy to read it to me. I decided to do it myself. There was also a cover that goes on the mirror that covers the screws and they broke that. They replaced it, but I just got attitude from the start. I would never go back, and would not recommend them to anybody.
Response from Metro Glass
"If this customer actually did come to Metro Glass he is incorrect on dates and pricing. We were closed the first week of February 2011 due to winter storm. We do not install windshields for $150 on models that have the features in the rear view mirror. If the customer had a manual we would have either attempted to reset his mirror or directed him to a dealership. We would not have offerered to read it to him. We stand behind our work 110% and are always willing to find resolutions to customer concerns. I don't believe this review to be truthful."
