Discovered problem in the morning when taking a COLD shower. Called all over OKC metro area to find someone who could come out same day. I was referred to MDS Plumbing by another highly rated (but too busy to get to us until next week) Angie's list company.  MDS said that they were fully booked as well, but they would do what they could to get someone to our house.  Doorbell rang about 2 hours later and their technician was at our door to take care of the problem.  The only "complaint" would be that they did not call me back to tell me that someone was coming (technician was told that someone would call us).  But that created no problem for us - I was just happy to have someone available to fix our problem.
He diagnosed the problem down to a faulty heating element in a two element 50 gal hot water heater.  Electrical testing showed that it was not getting power at first -went to the garage and reset tripped breaker.  He then quickly narrowed the problem down to the element.  He then drained the hot water heater using a short hose of mine (he didn't have one because he normally just does new installs, not service calls like this), pulled out the old, heavily crusted element, and put a new one in.  The bottom of the tank is heavily sedimented - he told me how I can go in and clean a lot of it out at some point in the near future to extend the life of the tank.
He then wrote up a bill of $142.50, which was less than I expected.  They accept cash, check, or credit card.  They don't offer senior or military discounts, but at their rates I don't care - I will always use them in the future for any plumbing needs.

I've hired MDS several times, and every time I've been really pleased with their service. They are very prompt: this was a problem that erupted suddenly and was getting worse rapidly, so we needed someone as soon as possible, like this afternoon. MDS came to the rescue. Like everyone we've hired from MDS before, Steve really knows his stuff, has had a lot of experience, and did his work professionally and efficiently. He also was careful to minimize the mess that's inevitable with this kind of work, something other plumbers (from other companies) that we've hired in the past have not done. MDS is a small company, but they really know what they're doing and they've never let us down when we've had an emergency like this. As if that wasn't enough, their prices are very reasonable.

They did an excellent job, coordinated with condo management to allow outage, fast and efficient job. Water was off only 2 hours in all.

They are fantastic. That was our second time to call them and it was excellent. All I can say is that they are fast about getting out here. Their rates are really reasonable. Their people are really courteous and respectful of your home and being clean and neat, not making a huge mess or anything. It's all good. I can't think of one bad thing.

Could not have been more pleased; Steve knew what to do and got right at the work. Was pleased with both the work, the appointment process and the price of the bill. An excellent overall experience.

Called MDS for appointment to clean out sewer line. Technician arrived on time and completed job within the one hour minimum charge. With time left technician made a couple of other small repairs. Manager/scheduler and technician very friendly and capable. Price as quoted on phone, except additional charge for use of machine. But still within price others quoted and able to respond much quicker. Overall, very good service. I would and will use again.

We like him. He did a real good job. He comes over, all the guys who work for him. I have always been very happy with him. They are all really nice guys.

From re-plumbing the entire house, putting in a new shower pan, replacing toilets and fixtures, repairing leaks, etc., MDS is always responsive, professional, and willing to go the extra mile. Becky is friendly and remembers absolutely everything, and Brian knows every inch of this house.
Today Brian replaced a toilet (even scrubbed the floor and cleaned out the icky drain); he replaced faucet fixtures and repaired a leak in plumbing i tried to do myself. In the past several weeks, he has done extensive work around the house. I find it really comforting to have one person who knows this place through and through. Becky is always on hand to make sure things go smoothly and according to schedule.
I haven't yet sorted through my records to check how much I've paid for individual jobs, but I have found their prices to be very fair.
Also, unlike an earlier review, I have never had damage done to the property nor have I been pressured to have other services performed. I feel very fortunate to have found such a great company.

This is the third time I've called upon MDS plumbing. My experiences have been consistently excellent. Becky, who schedules jobs, is exceptionally helpful. The previous times I've called them I faced an "emergency" (once, for instance, my sink exploded): in those cases, Becky had someone out to the house in record time. This particular instance was not urgent, so I said the afternoon of the day I called or the next day would work. Again, she had someone out the afternoon I called. Each time someone has come out from MDS, the plumber has been knowledgeable and efficient, has given me good advice (especially about things that did not need to be done, thereby saving me money), and has explained the nature of the problem and how it would be fixed clearly---something I really appreciate. I've no complaints at all and am happy to recommend MDS to anyone.

He fixed my attempt to "do it myself" plus he removed a blockage below the stool level.

I have used them for years and had always been happy, but times and employees change. My problem was not only not fixed, but my roof was damaged.. The MDS employee that came out constantly tried to up sale services he preformed off the clock. I hate to give them a negative review and I do not think that this is typical of the service they provide, but.... . I did consider legal action for the damages since my recently replaced roof leaked. My roofing company fixed the softball size hole that was caused by their equipment for no charge. They also left windows open and equipment behind.

I found my 15 year old toilet's shutoff valve dripping around 1pm and most places were booked for the day. MDS was able to fit me in on the same afternoon. The cheap-looking shutoff valve was hard to turn and made a funny noise, so it appeared to need replacing. After replacing the shutoff valve, there was still a slight leak, so it turned out to the be pipe connection. They replaced the pipe connection to the new shutoff valve and that fixed everything. It looks like the connection from the shut-off valve to the toilet was also cracked and in bad shape (probably from initial install). I mentioned the flapper was not balanced, and they replaced that while they were doing the other work. I was pleased with the responsiveness, quality of service, and cost.

They were very responsive and kind in providing an estimate. They performed the job quickly. Their on-site plumber was very nice and professional. And when I had to have them come back to move a couple of things to a different location, they didn't charge me because it was an easy fix.
As for the repairs, they had to come during the evening to fix two toilets during an event in our banquet hall. If they had not come right away, there would have been only one toilet for 300 people. They came right away, fixed the problems and then came back to check the next week to make sure everything was still okay.

I've relied on MDS for a number of years and have always been pleased with their responsiveness and attitude. This particular time, they were able to come out on a Friday afternoon to fix a problem that was discovered when countertops were being installed in the kitchen. The counter top guys were impressed that they were able come out on such short notice! They later came back to reinstall the tolilets when the floor work was completed.

Their staff is really good and dedicated to their job. We called them on a Saturday. The guy who came out was having chest pains and he wasn't sure why. We found out on Monday that he was having a heart attack and yet he was working through it. I give them an A across the board.
