Dwayne was fairly prompt to get the initial work done.  He guaranteed the work with a one year full guarantee on all labor.  He also promised not to cut the existing sprinkler lines.  Well, here we are five months later, one of the main sprinkler lines was cut during the work done by Dwayne's crew.  We are also having problems opening our gate on the fence now. We have called and scheduled numerous visits for Dwayne to come back out and look at the damage that was done.  He has not shown on numerous occasions (at least 5 now).  We have taken off work and waited for him without the courteousness of even a phone call to say that he isn't coming.  Today, (our fifth appointment), he had his wife call and leave a message that he will be here on Monday.  Wow!  We've certainly heard that before!  Amazing that we would pay so much money to have a job done and we can't even get him back out here to fix his mistakes!  I would never, never, never, recommend this company!! Once you pay him, you will never see him again!

I am stunned that a local business would treat a customer in this way. Apparently the fencing business is good enough that he does  not need to worry about his company's word-of-mouth reputation. The only good thing I have to say is that he showed up and did the work. The poles are not all the same height, but that may not compromise the integrity of the fence. I wish far more that he or someone else from his company would communicate with me and return calls. I spoke with him while he was on my property installing the new fence, and he promised me that he would clean up his mess.

He did not clean up the mess, and so now I must do his work. I would not hire this company again, even though he came promptly the day after the storms. A company that will not communicate with its customers and that will not follow through on its promises is not trustworthy, in my opinion.

UPDATE July 29, 2011

Today I noticed that the work by this company has already begun to fall apart. I don't know how many days it has been this way, but I went to inspect today and photographed the problem. He tried to splice two pieces of wood together with a piece of scrap wood to properly support the fence, but the splice has already failed. Mr. Vinson's work is shoddy and I would advise no one to use his services.
