After they vacuumed the carpets they went thru the house with a pressurized sprayer that supposedly had a carpet cleaner and deodorizer in one and sprayed the carpets. The main reason I had called them was to get rid of the dog odor (not urine or feces) from the previous owner. However, they didn't get the carpet really wet enough to soak deep into the carpet and they had no extraction system. They were using an old scrubbing system.
When they were done I could still smell the dog odor in the master bedroom and a little in the living room. So they sprayed more deodorizer and then left. The stuff they used was strong enough to mask the odor for only a day or so. Afterwards it smelled like their deodorizer and dog - which was worse.
So once the carpet was dry (which took 2 full days) I vacuumed with my vacuum and pulled out 6 FULL canisters of pet hair, dander, dirt, etc. It was disgusting. I'm not sure what their vacuuming even did, and no I don't own a Dyson.
I also ended out buying my own steam cleaner and when I cleaned the carpet, the water was absolutely filthy. It seems that their scrubber was just grinding the filth down into the carpet even further.
Thankfully, the smell is nearly gone now that I got rid of so much dog hair, dander, dirt, etc and was able to pull their deodorizer out as well.
I'm very impressed with their policy of following up and their policy of quick returns for phone calls and quick turns for appointments. I can tell that the company's culture is one of complete customer care and 100% customer satisfaction. Highly recommend the company!
I was informed 2 gals would work 2 full hrs. giving me 4 hrs. of work. I was also informed that the cleaning crew would do whatever I asked (w/in their guidelines). When they arrived I noted I desired only dusting/vac., since I do much of the cleaning myself. w/the exception of the mstr. bath, where I was asking to have the shower and floor cleaned, but I had already cleaned the vanities, etc.
They were here for less than 1.5 hrs. and as they prepared to leave, they had NOT touched 1 of the rooms...there were only 4 rooms which they were cleaning---LITERALLY! Both of the gals spent a great deal of time going to/from their car-getting drinks, etc. I would NOT have minded had they done what they came to do. However, when they left there were huge dust bunnies just sitting in the center of the room...not under furn. or in corners, but in clear vision. They also left all kinds of debris on the rugs (we have hardwood floors), so the dust bunnies are apparent. Also, w/only 2 persons in this home, it doesn't have a lot of debris, but weren't having a party tomorrow and desire to have a clean home.
I voiced my concern to Kathy while the crew was here and she insisted that they are her TOP TEAM. Oh my goodness!!! What if she had sent the B team out???...this was some of the most careless work I've ever seen. Items were dusted around, instead of being "picked up"...not worth $40, let alone the $80 which I spent.
