Mr. Akhmedov came in with his equipment and within 2 hours completed the energy audit. Air was forced air out of the house by a large fan attached to the back door. A smoke machine was moved over windows and walls to determine where the air was getting in. Mr. Akhmedov also had an infrared camera that showed where the hot and cold spots were in the house. These pictures assists in determining where there is a lack of insulation or enough insulation. We will begin to assess the most important energy upgrades that need to be done. Replacing all the 1924 era windows is the first step.
