The chain on our garage door broke over a holiday weekend.  On Monday I called some companies, and the earliest any of them could come out was 2 weeks.  I called Barksdale, and they were able to schedule my service on the next day.  Rick talked with me about available options, and his prices were very reasonable.  I highly recommend contacting Barksdale if you need garage door repairs.

I called on a Sunday afternoon and Rick took my call personally. We scheduled a next day appointment since the door was secure for the night. Rick showed up on time after calling to be sure it was still good to come over. He trouble shot the door, gave me a cost and set up the next day to fix so he could get parts in. Rick showed up on time again the next day and performed the work without any problems. I would recommend his company for repair work and will keep him as my personal garage door repairman and for a future new door purchase and replacement after having asked him to quote a new door.

Could not be better. I am a retired farmer so I am not the easiest to please. Building a house would be a breeze if all the subs were like Mr. Barksdale.

I called Barksdale (at 5:30 pm on a Tuesday) based on recommendations on Angie's list. He was here within an hour and fixed our door. He was very pleasant and professional.

I contacted them on Monday. They said they would try to stop by that afternoon if possible. They called Monday afternoon to say they couldnt make it and would try Tuesday. On Tuesday they called, we agreed on the time, they showed up on time, did the work as promised.

The door had been binding occasionally for a few weeks. Late afternoon on the Saturday before Easter, the door came off the tracks and was stuck in the open position. Rick came out on short notice because he didn't want us to have the garage door open overnight. I was expecting to pay a weekend rate, but he charged us only the regular service call fee.

I had made 3 phone calls to other providers previous to Mr. Barksdale. Although he too was busy,he said he would find time to repair door so that I could get my car out. He came several hours later and worked about 20 minutes to fix it. I was impressed with his work and he was very kind.

Spring broke late Saturday night, called Rick the following Sunday and he was at my home in less than 2 hours. Rick replaced the spring, alingned the door, performed routine maintenance and gave me some tips and safety information that will increase the lifetime of my garage door. Very responsive and did an excellent job at a fair price and that's all I could ask for.

Rick performed the work exactly as described, charged less than I expected for the labor, did the work very carefully and thoroughly, and checked a number of other things about the door and opener to be sure everything else was alright.
All the reviews are absolutely accurate . Rick is the kind of craftsman I always try to find: he is very experienced and competent, does exactly what he says he'll do, and stands behind his work. I was delighted with the whole experience (given that I had to get
the blasted thing fixed) and very strongly recommend him to anyone else who needs similar work done.

I damaged the door on Saturday afternoon, and the earliest he could see me was Monday, which wasn't too bad. These things always seem to happen at bad times with real cold weather making it a little inconvenient to wait to get fixed.
Rick quickly reset the door (only took 30-45 minutes), and he quickly noticed the door had been cracked at the bottom in a key place which made the door unstable. He screwed in a reinforcement bar to shore up the door, and everything is working fine as before.
This is the second time I have used Barksdale. Both times good work and good service. It would have been nice to get it fixed sooner given it was a relatively quick and easy fix, but I understand that contractors are generally pretty busy.

He made time in his schedule to check out the problem with my old garage
door opener the day I called. The problem had been getting worse over
the last 2 years where the door didn't want to stay down. He tried
everything possible to fix it but it just needed to be replaced. That
was done the following day to accommodate my schedule and everything has
been fine since then. He was very professional and had a helper that
made the task go quickly. He thoroughly answered my questions on
operating it.

I am glad I called Rick and would use him again.

FANTASTIC, If you need a repair of a garage door opener you could not find a better company to do your work.

Mr. Barksdale is great. Squeezed my job into his schedule by working late into the evening to get the work done I needed. I would highly recommend him to anyone need garage door fixed.
