Dr. Nancy Harrington is an unbelievably super fantastic veterinarian. We have used her for about 25 years. You will most likely never meet another vet who loves and respects all animals the way she does. If your number one issue in selecting a vet is a fancy office, this might not be the place for you. But if you want a vet who will treat your animals like family and with total respect, you can not do better than Dr. Harrington. I stopped in unexpectedly one day to ask her a question and found her performing surgery on a hamster! There is nothing more important at All Pets than animal health and welfare, and you will find that the doctor and all of her staff members are on board with that idea. One more example... I had an elderly cat housed there for testing when she became quite ill. My beloved pet went into respiratory distress and the doctor called to tell me the time had come to put my pet to sleep. She asked if I wanted to be there and I did but explained it would take about 30 minutes for me to get there from work. She told me to come on in and drive safely. During my drive there the doctor and her staff took turns working a breathing bag to keep my cat alive until I could see her again and talk to her one last time. I would say that kind of compassion is something very rare among vets. Truly excellent lady.
The only reason I selected and quot;Band quot; on punctuality is because Dr. Harrington will always see a seriously ill animal who is brought in on an emergency before she sees pets who are not in distress, and that is something I understand and appreciate. I assigned a and quot;Band quot; only as a technicality - and I am thrilled that she prioritizes animals that way.

I will never return. Office is always way behind scheduled appointments. I tolerated because I went monthly for nail trim and felt they cared about Zoe. Last time I boarded Zoe, something was amiss, however. I could tell when I got her home, but never determined what/why. In Oct. I took her for a nail trim. Dr. Harrington was an hour behind and I had a business call to make.When I returned, Zoe's wings were trimmed! Never authorized. Never requested in 13 years of monthly care! Bird was totally traumatized not being able to fly in our home. Constantly ran into walls, etc. trying to 'figure out what was wrong'. She got so I had to move her by hand to everywhere/anywhere. Dr. Harrington apologized. But NO explanation would even have been reasonable.

I LOVE All Pets and Dr. Nancy Harrington. It's true this facility is older than most in town, but that is one reason their prices are so reasonable. They are not making you pay for a million dollar facility. Dr. Nancy has been able heal my dogs when no one else could. She was also very compasionate when I had to put two of my rabbits down. I also swear Dr. Nancy is a dog whisperer because even our Golden Chow who is anti-social, loves her. He and my other dog get so excited the moment we pull into her parking lot.
In addition, I had to take my PON mix (Polish Lowland Sheepdog) to another vet in town because Dr. Harrington was out sick one day and Max was having a problem with his leg. When I got him there, the other vet turned him over on his back, on the concrete floor and messed a disk up in his back. He cried out the minute they did it. Then they did it again to x-ray him. He cried all night and the next day I had to take him in to see Dr. Harrington who confirmed what had happened to him. The other vet also gave me meds for him that were no longer being prescribed for dogs because it could kill them. Dr. Nancy had me take him off them immediately. This other vet charged me over $250 to hurt my dog. Dr. Nancy charged me around $50 to fix him and saved his life. He had to be on pain meds over six weeks because of the injury he got at the other vet's place. If you are set on going to the most posh facility in town, then All Pets isn't for you. However, if you want the best care, the best prices and the most knowledgeable doctor, All Pets is where you need to go. I can't recommend them enough.

They took extra blood for additional tests that they said were needed, at extra costs, and left sample on desk over the weekend, but sent in for testing anyway - of course the test came back inconclusive because of the delay in processing, but they didnt offer to refund the $$ or redo the test at no cost. Pretty unprofessional
