Dropped it off on Friday and it was ready the next Monday evening. Price and service was reasonable and pleasant. I will use them in the future.

This place is THE place to go for transmission work, very satisfied. I have already driven with the new transmission for several thousand miles and it performs perfectly. I WILL definitely go here again for any transmission work. Also it is less than half the cost of obtaining a new transmission from the dealer.

Everything went as planed. I already have over 12k on the rebuild and running strong

The transmission failed on my 2004 Avalanche 4x4 Labor Day weekend, I waited until Monday and made an attempt to call them hoping to leave a message and get someone to call me back the next day. I was very surprised when they answered and when I shared with them the problem that I had experienced, they were quick to offer ideas as to what the problem was and quoted me a price for a complete rebuild. Even though they were busy with other vehicles, they were still able to get my truck completed within a week with a 12,000 mile/12 month warranty for the original quoted price. Unfortunately after getting my truck back, the same problem reoccurred. I had it towed back to the establishment and called them the following business day. Shocked that it had failed, they immediately went to work on it and replaced the same component that failed the first time with a heavy duty version. I have not had any problems since and have shared my experiences with others that can benefit from their services.

My Ford Ranger had an issue with the clutch .The pedal was almost impossible to push at times, and at other times it would push easily but not engage the gear right away after you let out on it. I am pretty mechanically inclined but had no clue what the problem could be. After talking with several transmission mechanics I found myself no closer to an answer to my problem. Having had several bad experiences with transmission shops over the years, I decided to see what customers had said about shops they had dealt with here on Angie`s List. I narrowed my search down pretty easily by customer reviews. Affordable Transmission by far seemed like my best choice. I called and was able to bring it to them right away. They were pretty busy, which I took to be a good sign. Although my issue was unusual they assured me that they could figure out what my problem was and fix it. I believed I was probably in store for an expensive ordeal. The guys at the shop gave me a call and explained that the problem was the hydraulics. They acquired the parts, installed them and gave me a call. When I got to the shop it was just before closing time, but the guys were great to take their time to explain what they had done. I had expected my bill to be somewhere in the range of $500-$1000 on the phone they had quoted me a price of over $500. I thought that to be a fair price for the job and had agreed without hesitation. When presented the bill I was shocked to see that it was even cheaper than quoted. Total repair cost parts, and labor $350. WOW ! I`ve dealt with several transmission shops over the years and it`s always more than the quoted price, usually quite a bit more . It`s nice to know that there are reputable companies out there still today. It has been a little over a month since the work was done and the truck runs great. GOOD WORK, GOOD SERVICE, GREAT PRICE.

I called, and talked to JD with Affordable Transmission and got a quote over the phone for $1,600.00 . Witch was half the price of the Ford Dealers.
Dropped it off on a Friday and got it back by Wed.
No added charges or surprises.

We located the shop through Angie's List. We showed up on Monday morning at 8am. They asked us a few questions about what the truck was doing and gave us an estimate. The repair took almost a day longer than expected but the price did not go up. The repair still only took 3 days. This is very reasonable for this sort of work. My son went back to college the next day. He arrived home safely. The transmission has over 1000 miles on it already with no issues.

Service went well. They were very friendly and when my husband left the house keys instead of the car keys they called and were very nice about it lol. Would do business with again. They were priced very fairly I think.

Noticed a problem with my transmission and checked Angie's List and found this repair shop was rated good and nearby. Employee's were friendly and I decided to have this shop do the repairs. They did the repairs in the estimated time and so far the transmission has worked very well.

Very professional from beginning to end. Courteous and thorough. Called with information as promised. Fixed in timely manner. Will definitely use again and recommend to friends.

I brought my car in , not able to shift in reverse. End result is, it will.

I was very impressed with them. Another company had said that my husband needed his transmission work done and it was going to be anywhere from 100 to who knows how much. My husband took his truck to Affordable Transmissions and they called him back the next day. They told him that he was 4 quarts low on his transmission fluid. All he had to pay for was an hour's fee and the transmission fluid. We thought that was very impressive because they could have told us anything that was wrong with the transmission and we would have believed it because we didn't know any better. To tell us that it was only 4 quarts low and that was all he charged us for, I thought that was awesome. The experience was excellent because we felt that they were honest. To me it's hard to find a repair person who could charge you 2 or 3 hundred dollars but tells you the truth. They did a great diagnosis and their solution worked. Their price was reasonable. They said they would call but they didn't call. We always had to call them to get an answer. The job was done within 3 days.
