405 Decks

We paid 405 decks to build a large deck in our backyard in February 2019 and although the deck was finished and originally beautiful, it has nothing but problems ever since. in the beginning of June 2019 we started noticing that many of our boards were oozing with tree sap and some boards were already splitting. We reached out to 405 decks via text message and had absolutely no response for a period of time. We then reached out on Facebook messenger and got a reply. We were assured on June 12th that someone would be out the following week to replace the severely cracked boards and the boards affected by tree sap. By June 20th, no one had shown up. On June 21st someone finally came by to look at the deck. We were told that 3 boards would be replaced. One was covered in tree sap and the other 2 were split. I asked if we could do anything to prevent the sap and we were told that it just happens sometimes. We were told the boards would be replaced the following week. A week passed and no one showed up to work on the deck. We were then told that the deck would be fixed on July 1st. After the July 1st work was done, we reached out that afternoon because only 2 of the 3 boards were replaced and the ones that were replaced were not stained to match the deck. After sending pictures, I was told the additional boards would be fixed the following week. This is when things got ugly. 15 days after being told the deck would be fixed again, no one had shown up or communicated with us. We reached out again and explained that we were feeling as though we were being ignored and the owner became EXTREMELY unprofessional. He said that threatening to leave poor reviews doesn't make difference to him. He then went back on his word and said he couldn't fix the additional boards that had sap or cracks. He claimed they weren't covered in the warranty. Eventually on July 18th he said he would still come out and fix the deck. As of July 25th, no one had shown up or reached out to us so we again asked if he received our messages. He replied with "yes I got t it thanks." and still never showed up. We reached out again asking for an update on when the work would be done and we still haven't heard back as of September 2019. PLEASE save yourself the trouble and DO NOT us 405 decks for your projects.

Tommy is great to work with. He is upfront and there were no added fees. He did very high-quality work and we love our backyard pergola. IT provides a lot of shade in our sunny backyard and helps things stay cooler.
