Turnkey Roofing

I just submitted a recommendation for Turnkey Roofing for work completed by them in 2012 and 2013. After I hit submit, I realized I should have also talked about an inspection Turnkey made today on a roof where they will not do any work. I realized getting an honest inspection is just as important as doing the work... So consider this an addition to my first review.
....... My daughter who lives out of state had her house in Norman under contract for a sale with the closing set for 5/31/2013. The hail storm that hit Norman on May 19 was in the area of her house. Her house is approximately 6 miles from where the big tornado struck Moore. Because lenders require an inspection of homes before closing to check for damage caused by these major events, the real estate agent had a roofer inspect the house. That roofer reported damage and gave a cost estimate to repair of over $2,000.00. My daughter contacted me and asked if I knew a roofer I trusted who would give a second opinion. I contacted Thad Moore, owner of Turnkey Roofing on her behalf. He inspected the roof and reported that he saw NO significant damage. This meant he wouldn't get a job, but he saved my daughter from making unnecessary repairs.

----------Replaced front half of my hail damaged roof (front was all insurance adjuster said was needed). Thad Moore, the owner, was outstanding. I do not hesitate in recommending him as a matter of fact, I recommended him to my brother for his roof replacement.
In the Easter hail storm in Norman, my brother's roof was totalled. He got so many roofers knocking on his door he became terribly confused. I told him to call Thad as I knew he could count on him. Thad immediately came out, his bid was the lowest and he was there the next day with a full crew. He finished the job that day and left everything so neat and tidy even my overly critical sister-in-law could not find anything to complain about. Good Job Thad and Turnkey Roofing

The crew arrived 7:30 am on Friday morning, covered and protected my landscaping around the house and preceeded to remove my old roof. They worked fast, then cleaded up the mess. Break for lunch then back to work. By 2:30 I had a new quality roof. My flowers and pots were back where they belonged, they even took a large magnet around the perimiter of the house to pick up any stray nails. I was a happy camper, lighter in the wallet, but happy.

The painting overall was really good but the rest of the work was a joke. They painted a couple of doors and that was okay but they replaced some broken tiles and I don't think the guy knew what he was doing. There was miscommunication as far as what he was supposed to do. What we were told would happen during the estimating process compared to what was actually done did not happen. We had enough new tiles to replace the broken tile but during the process the worker cracked other new ones so we did not get that work done right. We also had wanted to tint some tiles to match existing tiles but when we asked the worker about it he said he did not know anything about it. Then, there were some floorboards and molding that we were going to have redone so that it all matched but none of that got done. He either was never told that was what he was supposed to do and I don't think he understood what we wanted. There was definitely a language barrier for us. During the outside painting process they were going to glaze the outside windows but they used plain caulk instead. They also painted a lot of the windows shut so we had to cut the paint so that we could open our windows. They were going to repair some door frames but all they did was paint them. We called the guy who came out to give us the estimate but he referred us to the foreman of the group who was working on the house who kept denying that they were supposed to do certain things. We felt like we had no recourse since the estimator was out of town and the crew at our house did not understand our concerns.

I was so suprised at the job these guys did. They were fast and clean. My doctor referred me to them and told me he had the same experience. They cleaned my yard better than it was before!. They even raked my flowerbeds when they left! The Roof looks great and Im happy.
