MIKE KIRBY PLUMBING

Mike is a professional. He knows his way around plumbing with years of experience. Everything he did works well and made us glad we upgraded our home.

He works quickly, and it DOES help to be flexible on times because he drives around to different jobs.....but he gave me a good time estimate and came within 5 minutes of that time so I didn't have any problems. He IS a little select on his jobs, he's been at it a long time and is in high enough demand that I guess he doesn't have to sweet talk his clients. He charged me 115 the first job, at my rental, and the second job he worked I offered slightly less in cash. When I said "shouldn't you go through the line from the inside of the house?" and he said, "How long have you been a plumber?" So he is not super like hold your hand and butter you up, but he's really good.

I left a message and Mike returned my call promptly. He set a date about a week out, which is not unusual with him for non-emergency repairs, because he stays quite busy. He came on time and spent at least two hours doing the several tasks we had for him. The price seemed a bit high for work that involved only minor parts; in the past Mike has sometimes done two small jobs in the same visit for just $99. But this did take a while--maybe 2.5 hours, so perhaps that's just his usual rate of 99/hour? ($99 seems to be his minimum for a service call, in my experience.) Anyway, he did everything perfectly, caulked around the new toilet very neatly, and as always was a very nice person to have helping us--and a bit of a character, I must add; he has a wry sense of humor, which I love now that I'm used to it. He also warned us that the faucets in most of our bathrooms, which he's been fixing for many years, are getting harder to fix and will need to be replaced pretty soon. He recommended getting new Delta faucets because that's the brand for which all the plumbers and suppliers in Norman have all the parts on hand. We love Mike, and we'll definitely have him coming back for years to come.

It went great overall!

Mike is great--he's our regular plumber. He is quick,reponsive, clean, careful, honest, pleasant, and competent. His prices are excellent. He's helped us keep old plumbing going and replaced fixtures for us as necessary. I feel as though he's "in my corner."

Mike is always fast and reliable, and stands behind his work. On the one occasion when he had to come back out prematurely, he did it for free. I'd recommend him highly!

Mike Kirby Plumbing was extremely efficient and did a very good, professional job. Was a great hire! I would definitely use them again and recommend them.
