One of the things I was impressed with him about was that he brought in stain samples.  I told him none were right and even went back and created more stain samples.  He was very meticulous about getting the right color and finish.  He helped me get the specific look I was going for and really helped me make my mind up in a way that lead me to the perfect result.  His design of the cabinets was exactly my vision as described to him by me - he achieved this well.  Even though there were multiple pieces in the creation they looked like one piece and that was great.  Ever little detail was prepared by him asking all the right questions.  He was really great with options and workmanship - he went over it with a fine tooth comb.  He fixed things I wouldn't have even noticed.  He even left me with some stain to do touch-ups for the future.  He was timely and a good communicator.
