Hicks Heating & Air Conditioning

They were on time and very professional. Very nice. Once they got everything installed and running (which only took about 3 hours), there was a part for the furnace that had broken during shipping. They had to reorder it and would take a couple of days to come in. They would not accept our check for payment until all the work was completed. Will definitely use them again.

We use them on a regular basis. They have always taken care of us. They are very honest because we've had situation where we've called them out for plumbing issues and they've said we don't need that and what we really need is something that is a lot cheaper. They are good at their job and they are very honest. They quickly fixed it and got us on our way. Most of the time it's just their service charge which is like an hour rate and if there are parts then that is an additional fee.

When I came to look at my house two years ago to buy it, the day before, lightening had struck the AC unit and fried it. The current owners bought a new unit as part of the contract on the house. The brand new York unit seemed great and enough for my size house. I am all electric and have a heat pump. I used Advanced Air Specialist (that the previous owners picked) for two years of problems. We had them out 10 times over two years with problems heating and cooling our house. I finally decided to switch companies because I was sick of the run around.
When JJ with Hicks came out, they proved that Advanced Air Specialist did not know what they were doing. The brand new thermostat that they installed, was not even on the correct settings. The dip switches were set to gas instead of electric heat and the wire that was disconnected was for my emergency heat. That's why I wasn't getting any heat to come on at all.
Hicks Heating and Air Service did great and I appreciate them being efficient and effective.
