Kirby was flexible with our custom requests but we had to consistently follow up with the subs to make sure that the plans were followed through. When we check on framing, they mis-framed our garage facia and completely missed a bedroom window. 6 months after moving in the jets in the jacuzzi tub failed and they had to cut a large access hole in our exterior brick to repair it.

The problems weren't really in building but years after the fact. We have been in the home for 5 years and have all kinds of problems. Our A/C unit was grossly undersized and duct work poorly installed. We had to have the entire system replaced in 2013 along with new duct work. Now we are having problems with electrical (light boxes failing to work,light switches and one of our breakers completely melted in the box), plumbing (the sinks and shower back up and drain very slowly), dry wall tape is falling down on the ceilings and most of the varnish has completely come off of our window sills and tub front.

Our house looks beautiful but with so many problems after living here for only a few years, I would not choose to build with him again.

I was actually homes that had already been built and I ran into a house that I liked and inquired about it and instead of going with a house that was already built, I decided to go use them and found a lot and went from there. I thought he was a very good builder. We had a couple of cosmetic issues that needed to be fixed found a couple of weeks but it was minor stuff. But, they fixed them all. They were very responsible. They came out within the day.
