The bottom line is they overcharged and ripped off our insurance company by $10,000 and then wanted us to pay even more out of our own pocket. They waited to see what our insurance would pay for and said that is the dollar amount they would take for the job. But when they found out my insurance would pay more they changed the billing amount and wanted more money. It took 7 months to settle with them and at the end the vice president asked for $1200 more out of our own money. We had to put a fight to get them take off $8500 for decking they did not even replace. Please save your self the stress and worry of being able to settle the final charges and Do Not use Mallard Roofing. Especially the salesman named Byron he will rip you off.

"One of our sales representatives was working this area that was hit by a hailstorm in Norman, OK. The hailstorm had damaged this customers roof by bruising and tearing the matting of the shingle. Therefor over time the roof would start to leak. We informed the customer to call her insurance company and file a claim because the roof was damaged by hail. The adjuster came out and we informed them of all the damage to the property which was more than just the roof. The home owner was glad to see we found all the additional damage that she was unaware of. After we negotiated an amount for the repairs with the insurance company we started the repairs. There was no time that Mallard was unclear of the damage or ever told the customer that we could not do anything. The customer then pick a shingle which was the GAF Armor Shield in Charcoal. We had then installed the product and completed the project. The discount the customer is referring to is not a discount from us but a discount from the insurance carrier. Some carriers provide discounts for installing impact resistant shingles and some carries even discount as high as 25% however some carries give no discount and it is up to the home owner to due there homework to make sure this applies to them. This was a major storm and we had over 200 roofs to due in this area and that is why it may have taken additional time to get scheduled. It also takes time to get a final price with the insurance company. One thing we pride ourselves on is that when big storms happen we do not run out and get additional crews to complete the work faster we keep our same crews that work for us everyday of the year to ensure that your job is done top notch. We also did not charge anymore than what the insurance company was paying. The roof is of very high quality and an additional warranty was put on for the homeowner giving her a lifetime warranty at no charge which is called the systems plus warranty. The customer never expressed any unhappiness until I received this review."
