$47,500
2021: We used Mallard to install a new roof and various repairs after a bad hailstorm, totaling $47,500. 2025: After some strong winds of ~60mph, many of our expensive shingles came off. We contacted Mallard. The shingles were rated for a 110+ mph and this was <4 years after installation. There was clearly an issue with either the shingles or the installation. Mallard took off more shingles to send to the roofing manufacturer as part of a warranty claim. They said that if the claim was rejected, Mallard would repair the roof at its expense. Weeks later, after emails and texts, we find out they never submitted the warranty. They also retracted the statement about repairing the roof at their expense. So now we are even worse off. It is a month after the shingles blew off, in the middle of storm season, with Mallard causing even more damage, no warranty claim submitted, and zero effort on Mallard’s part to make this situation right. So be warned. They won't stand behind their work.

The worst customer service I could ever imagine and my husband and I have been in customer service all of our working lives.
The bottom line is they overcharged and ripped off our insurance company by $10,000 and then wanted us to pay even more out of our own pocket. They waited to see what our insurance would pay for and said that is the dollar amount they would take for the job. But when they found out my insurance would pay more they changed the billing amount and wanted more money.  It took 7 months to settle with them and at the end the vice president asked for $1200 more out of our own money. We had to put a fight to get them take off $8500 for decking they did not even replace. Please save your self the stress and worry of being able to settle the final charges and Do Not use Mallard Roofing. Especially the salesman named Byron he will rip you off.

The quality of their subcontractors is superb!! their scheduling and setting expectations for the customer is sub-par. Not sure I would hire again, but would sure like to have their rolodex of the subcontractors because they rock when in comes to work quality!!!

The entire process was great. The labor was done in a very professional way, and we were always able to get a hold of someone if we had questions/concerns. Mallard isn't your typical roofing company. They truly care for their client and do the best job they can possibly do. We incurred no issues throughout the entire process. We have a beautiful new roof and we were glad to have Mallard be our contractor of choice. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

Their quote was competitive.  Salesman was a very nice fellow.  Once the contract was signed, they got to it the same week.  Started around 7:30am and were done by about 3pm.  All the trash and nails were picked up, no issues there.  Seems like they did a decent job, no leaks.

They did exactly what we discussed and what was promised.  We were provided a date for all the services to begin and how long everything would require for completion.  They did a great job, their pricing was very competitve as our house is two story with a very steep pitch and multiple roof segments to deal with.  This is our third roof and we could not be more pleased.  After all the work was complete the owner came by for a personal final inspection.  He found several items he wanted revised and later that day a crew arrived and completed the items the owner wanted revised.  I couldn't see any problem with the completed job but was very pleased to witness such professionalism and concern for the customer.  Mallard is a local company with a long and successful track record.

Mallard keep the job site very clean.  They really helped us with our insurance company and made sure we got the best roof for our money.  We were worried that we would have a lot of nails left in the yard but they did a great job running magnets thru our yard to get them all.  David there project manager was great to have around during our project.  Thanks again!

We did not know who to use for our roof repair.  We had looked around our neighborhood and saw that several of our neighbors were using Mallard Construction.  We called the number off of the sign and asked for a salesman to come out.  We he came out he inspected our roof and said we had damaged to it and suggested we call our insurance company.  He said he would be happy to meet them for us and show the insurance what he had seen.  The adjuster came out and meet with my salesman and came to an agreement that the roof had been damaged by hail.  Then Mallard worked with the insurance company to make sure we had enough money to get the roof replaced we he even got items covered that I had no idea that they had been damaged.  Mallard then contacted us and scheduled the work and we are very pleased with the results.  We have had our new roof installed and absolutely  love it.  Thanks guys we couldn't have done it without out you!

A tornado came through and the hailstorm did a lot of damage to my roof, so I had them come look at it. They kept saying that there was nothing that they could do. I called my insurance company and told them what had happened and they said that they should come out and fix it. My roof split in two and all of the shingles came off. After I talked to my insurance company, they came out and fixed it. They charged a lot to do it. I do not know if that is why they finally came out, but I know he wanted that check. I am not too happy with them really. It took them forever to get it done. I wanted the good roof. They did fax the paperwork to the insurance company. They said that I got a 22% discount. I would call them and it would be two or three days or up to week before, I would back from them. I am not really satisfied with it. If I did not have their roof, I would not use them again.

"One of our sales representatives was working this area that was hit by a hailstorm in Norman, OK. The hailstorm had damaged this customers roof by bruising and tearing the matting of the shingle. Therefor over time the roof would start to leak. We informed the customer to call her insurance company and file a claim because the roof was damaged by hail. The adjuster came out and we informed them of all the damage to the property which was more than just the roof. The home owner was glad to see we found all the additional damage that she was unaware of. After we negotiated an amount for the repairs with the insurance company we started the repairs. There was no time that Mallard was unclear of the damage or ever told the customer that we could not do anything. The customer then pick a shingle which was the GAF Armor Shield in Charcoal. We had then installed the product and completed the project. The discount the customer is referring to is not a discount from us but a discount from the insurance carrier. Some carriers provide discounts for installing impact resistant shingles and some carries even discount as high as 25% however some carries give no discount and it is up to the home owner to due there homework to make sure this applies to them. This was a major storm and we had over 200 roofs to due in this area and that is why it may have taken additional time to get scheduled. It also takes time to get a final price with the insurance company. One thing we pride ourselves on is that when big storms happen we do not run out and get additional crews to complete the work faster we keep our same crews that work for us everyday of the year to ensure that your job is done top notch. We also did not charge anymore than what the insurance company was paying. The roof is of very high quality and an additional warranty was put on for the homeowner giving her a lifetime warranty at no charge which is called the systems plus warranty. The customer never expressed any unhappiness until I received this review."
