Came out the same day I called, replaced in about 30 minutes. Let me keep the template in case I wanted to take it to shop around with other glass shops. Also gave me an installed price for tempered glass in both windows.

I built my house in 2009 and someone tried to break in and broke a double pane glass in my livingroom. There is a wall between my living room and my dining room. In the dining room there is a door to the outside. The technician told me that I had to replace the window with safety glass because the window was within 3 ft. of the door, even though there was a wall between them. I had taken off work for the appointment and it ended up costing me $279.00 for the bottom half of my window.

"We will not recommend safety glass unless we deem it necessary. If a window is in a hazardous location, (i.e. near a door) we will quote the price for a safety glass. If a customer does not want to pay the extra cost for their safety (or their children's ) we will not put the glass in."

After I called to set up an appointment, it took a few days for someone to come out to measure (other companies I called would've taken the same amount of time). That took about five minutes, from there they ordered the glass and called us to set a time to come back and install. Installation took about an hour and he rehung my blinds, which was nice! I would definitely use Jem Glass again in the future!

The gentleman sent arrived on time and replaced the windowpane and re-glazed it. He did not remove the sash from the frame but instead did the work with the sash in place. He was courteous and cleaned the work site and the new windowpane upon completion.
