Comfort King was contracted by American Home Shield (after I paid a deductible upfront). AHS told me comfort king would contact me in 24hours. They contacted me in 52 hours. I set an appointment and asked that they provide me 30 mins to leave work and meet them at my house. They canceled first appointment after I scheduled time off. They again told me they would contact me within 30 mins of arrival on another (undecided day). At this point, one week has passed since I paid my deductible. When the called and said they would be at my house in 20 mins, I RAN OUT OF WORK and rushed home. After 1 hour and 15 mins from the call stating they would be here in 20 mins, I decided to text them back to see if they needed directions. The "faceless phantom texter" informed me that the tech had GPS and probably just stopped at a gas station. He arrived 20 mins later. The tech was friendly and informative. He told me that my filter needed to be relocated and that I was responsible for that. He gave me tips on what to do. He then told me that my coils needed to be cleaned but he couldn't do it that day. He was respectful about it so I did t get worked up about missing work, waiting and getting nothing done. He said his boss would call me the next day to set up an appointment to clean the coils and then they would look at my ductwork (apparently they couldn't do it that day). The boss didn't call the next day. He texted one week later and said he would call me on the following week to set an appointment. He texted the next week and informed me he could only do it Thursday. I told him that I had an appointment but I would take the rest of the day off (using my vacation). Today is Thursday. I called this morning to see when he thought he might be here. He didn't answer. So I text him, he immediately text back. He said that he couldn't make it today bc "years of neglecting your unit can't be fixed in an hour and a half". I told him that he should've been very clear on the time and workload if not the day of but possibly the two weeks prior. I explained to him the importance of being timely and deligent when you've taken payment already and performed no services other than an hour and a 1/2 late walk thru. I told him that we would need a clear date set in advance that was adhered to as I was having to take vacation to do so. He responded with "I'm too busy to assist you, find somebody else, AHS will be contacting you." He then text "we tried to do this last time but you didn't have the time" I then informed him that it was his tech that apparently didn't have the time, not me. I had already taken off. I have called AHS and they have not been contacted by their 3rd party contractor. I expect a bit of unprofessionalism or a level or belligerency from the occasional disgruntled employee working for a larger corporation. However, to see this lack of work ethic and integrity from a small business blows my mind. As of today, in our $125 and he has performed NO work. I will say, the tech he sent was very nice and friendly.

American Home Shield send this provider to repair our central AC unit. He came once and only addressed one component of the failed AC unit. He stated the replaced part should long term resolve the issue but if it did not, the repair was under warranty for 60 days. The unit failed again 10 days later. We called AHS back and they opened another work order with this provider. The provider told me this time it would be 2 days before he would be able to be there but he would call me on Tuesday afternoon with a closer time frame. He called my cell at 131PM and left a voicemail that he was on the way to my home. He never confirmed the time frame he would be there with me in person and he never attempted again to reach me before coming here. He had an attitude about the AC failing again and argued that we never addressed all the issues with him the first time. I called him back when got home at 210PM and he stated he wouldn't be returning because he sat in my driveway for 45 minutes and I wasn't home. I told him that that's his responsibility because he never confirmed a time with me. He argued and kept saying it was my fault he wasn't coming back. He is unprofessional in his word choices and his appearance. I do not trust him in my home. He stated he didn't know if he wanted to do business with me because my cell phone came from a state that he didn't like! We're military and his customer is not us - it's American Home Shield!!! When addressing the service issue I reminded him of the conversations we had about all the issues and his response was "that's neither here nor there but we didn't talk about". We now have an open complaint with the BBB over this lack of repair and AHS's lack of follow thru.

Overall, the service provided was awesome. They were on time and did the job as quickly as they could. They even asked along the way if we were pleased with what they were doing. They even cleaned up the work area before they left.

The people that came out were very punctual and knowledgeable, not to mention very well priced and were willing to answer all of my questions even though they were limited on time. Also i had questions about a week later and had to call on a Saturday and i actually got a call back that day! They were Great!!
