"This review is factually incorrect! The Project Manager agreed to pay for a repair, then when the repair was complete he decieded he wanted to dispute the charge. I notified the owner of the homeowner, showed her the proof and she paid the final invoice only after we had to threaten to file a lien on the home. I have proof of all of this and am willing to share with who ever would like to reach out to me. Jason"
Paramount has also repaired hardwood floors for us. We had an old floor furnace in a 50 year old home. We removed the floor furnace, leaving a large hole behind. Paramount matched the wood, repaired the hole and refinished the floors. The end result was absolutely amazing. One would never know a floor unit was originally there.
We will use Paramount Flooring for all of our future hardwood flooring needs.
1. Owners Jason and Devin impressed me right away as possessing a great deal of talent, creativity and know-how. They were very professional, but also very patient and willing to share their experience and answer questions. They were very easy to talk to.
2. It was very helpful that they offered to show me floors they had installed that were made with different woods, in different patterns, and with different stain colors and finishes. Jason discussed easily the pros and cons and prices of products. I was impressed when he said he didn't think our space and traffic usage demanded the most expensive product, and I took that as a good sign that they weren't interested in hiking up the price unnecessarily.
3. When Jason and Devin arrived (promptly as always) to view the floors to be refinished, Jason detailed exactly the way the job would be done, including that he would not just be passing this off to his crew, but would instead be involved. We were told the timetable for the job, which was just exactly the way it went. They started the next day and finished in three days.
4. They quoted a reasonable price and it never changed.
5. They also helped us in choosing a great stain color, which was no small feat! I was sure that I wanted the floors to be the same color that they already were; my husband thought maybe a little lighter. I was very nervous about finding that perfect color. After the floors were sanded, Jason called us to come to the house to view several color samples they had applied to the floor. My husband did a switcheroo and liked the darkest sample on the floor! Jason said nothing. I was looking at the ceiling beams and the kitchen island cabinetry and the samples, back and forth, and still couldn't decide. I asked what effect the finish coat would have on the color, so Jason had the crew put a coat on for me. When I asked Jason for his opinion, he pointed to the same sample my husband liked. I paced around a bit, but then decided that Jason's years of experience gave him a much clearer vision of how this room would look, and evidently my husband had the same vision. So I made it unanimous, and I am so glad! The floor is much richer but not as dark as I had thought it would be, and it blends better with the beams and cabinetry without being too matched. The final sheen is very soft. It really is a beautiful room!
6. Jason also kept us informed of the job progress. I loved that he sent photos each day to our cell phones, which was fun and reassuring. Be aware though that the colors can show up very differently on different cell phones.
7. Their crew left the house very clean when the job was finished. We did decide to spend more money for rental of a very powerful vacuum which they told us about that almost eliminated the dust. They did not push us about it, and it was a bit pricey; but for us it seemed much better than spending several days cleaning or than falling off a ladder trying to dust the very high beams and ceilings. They also securely wrapped up all the window coverings, chandeliers, and ceiling fans. They sealed off the adjoining rooms without doors, and they also did a good job of protecting our very light carpeting next to the hardwood floors.
8. We really appreciate that Jason and Devin have continued to help us with projects we face, even without our asking. With years of experience in construction and contracting, they have given us good advice on projects unrelated to the flooring and have also referred us to people in the field who could help us with other sticky projects. We will definitely get estimates from Jason and Devin on things we need to do to spruce up the house we'll be selling. They are really good people, who excel at their craft.
