Auto Body Work
Car was finished in timeframe given verbally by Payless, but upon inspection I found that they did not paint the mirror as well, as agreed upon. They promised to do it, but since I did not want to leave the car any longer, I stated that I would drop off the mirror so they could paint it. They did paint the mirror in a reasonable timeframe, once I delivered it.
I had to remove and reinstall it, and make another trip to their shop. I did not ask and they did not offer to compensate me for this.
The rub: I noticed immediately, once I left the shop, that they had neglected to protect the interior of the car during the repair. It seemed as if they left the window open because there was dust everywhere inside the vehicle, and it smelled of curing paint for weeks afterwards. I felt that this was very careless.
The quality of the repairs was very good, and I could not tell where the damage had been once the job was completed.
