Had my roof done a few years ago which was a mess during the work process but now having to have my entire porch cover removed and replaced due to poorly installed flashing and a large area of no roofing felt so now rotten. How can anyone be comfortable with doing such shotty work? Will NEVER recommend this company for anything. They make a huge mess and don’t clean up well either.

Service was good, but slow. The initial estimate appointment was relatively quick and I agreed to the work at the time of the estimate. The window had to get special ordered and they told me it would take 1-2 weeks to get it. After approx 3 weeks I had to call Standard Builders to check on the status of the order. The window had been delivered to their warehouse, but the guys didn't realize it was a window, since it was so large and it was sitting in a box, so they originally thought it was a door. Once the guys came out w/the window to do the job, they realized that the new window was approx 1/2 inch too big and they'd have to reorder another window. Apparently there was a mistake/typo when on their end when placing the order w/the glass manufacturer.
Once the correct window arrived, the work was done w/no problems.
I also requested a few of the vents/caps be sealed up on the roof at the time of the estimate, they said they'd do that for free since it was a small job. The roofers never showed up so I eventually got in touch w/some roofers that were working for Pioneer Construction on a house in the neighborhood and had them do the work instead.

We first were introduced with John with Standard Builders when we purchased our new home and requested the sellers pay for repairs to the siding. Since then we have postponed the siding replacement and had opted to replace the windows first. Eric came out and measured all of the windows on both floors that were in need of being replaced. He broke it all down by window and floor and offered us some options on the design. Once we decided to go ahead with replacement, Eric once again came out and confirmed his earlier measurements the downstairs windows (we decided to break up the cost) before placing the order. Once the windows arrived, the installation team called to schedule a time to complete the removal and installation with which they were very prompt. The installation took almost all day (but that was expected on my part due to size of some of the windows). The job turned out great and we are very pleased with the quality of work that was performed and have since placed the order to have the second story windows replaced.

"I believe this customer has us confused with someone else. We have no record of this customer in any job folders going back to 2009. I would appreciate someone finding out who she dealt with. we also keep records of any problems on all of our jobs. this person does not show up on any call back forms either. thank you john ingram"

Job was done quickly and professionally. These are the same people who did my roof and guttering on my house 4 years ago and they did a wonderful job then as well. They're simply the best. If you need touch-up work done, even months after the repair, they will come out and put it back in shape, usually at no extra charge.

Worker should up on time (or close to it) and took a few hours to remove the old door and frame. He left for a couple of hours to buy the supplies and do lunch. After he returned, he completed the widening and put in the new door and frame. He did have to come back the next day to stain the door but that is because the color he had , I felt was too light, so he had to get some new stain of a different color. After about 2 weeks, the door 'settled ' and wasn't shutting exactly as we thought it should. He came back out and did an adjustment and it now works perfect.

Everything went as planned. Builders arrived and cleanup of their work. The lead contractor came by in the end to inspect the work and ensure I was satisfied with the results.

Workers at about 10:00, the arrival time was to have 8:30, they were here 30 to 45 min then left to go get something.. did not return until mid afternoon. Little was don when they left for the day at 5pm. Always late arriving in morning. The next was a repeat of day one. Friday they worked with only a one and half lunch break. When thy did not arrive at designated time did not call to let us know. one day he had to go get a level as his was out of level he was gone approx 2 to3 hours. when here they worked, the work they did was good, no complaints with work. Just the lengthy breaks, increasing the time bathroom not usable .Work was completed Sept 13,2013

Did a awsome job. They started with a 10X20 concrete slab to make us a back patio then once that was completed then we had them build us a Pergola made out of Cedar. It is beautiful the detail they went in to making it you don't see much anymore.. Would highly recomend them to anyone...

Started well. But brought another contractor in to do job. There was no real carpenter on site. Workers were unhappy because the second contractor did not show up for work and was late with pay. Poor communication between workers and contractors. Left job unfinished. Light covers were left off, plugins were left uncovered and loose in the wall, Doors leaked air and paint that pealed away while fixing door was not repainted. They did not have their own ladders and used ours and ruined one. They did not provide drop clothes and we had to come up with our own and they still got plaster and paint on the carpet.
He charged me much more that other bids for the roof on my rent house and I understood that they were using the best material and there was some water resistant materials they were going to use along eves. The roof looked terrible and I did not get what I thought I was getting. Called the contractor about the way the roof looked and he sent two men out and they said some of the shingles were to long and cut them off. I showed him the flashing around the edge and he told me that is because they used cheep flashing. I showed him a few more things and he told me not to worry that the shingles were warranted for 50 years. I ask him where my warranty was and he said ask the contractor. I never received a warranty for my roof or my Hardy Plank siding. I also learned from my insurance provider they had not put the siding on right and we could not get the break for having the cement siding.

Response from Standard Builders of Enid
"This job was completed in August of 2008. At that time any problems we were notified of were resolved. Where this is coming from is very confusing. There is nothing installed incorrectly. I don't have any idea what she was trying to get out of her insurance company. None of these issues were brought to my attention until now. Yes, she did hire our company to install the roof on her rental home shortly thereafter for which she neglected to pay for. The client contacted us on 9/7/11 regarding a leak at that property and we had a crew there within one week to fix it even though we had not been paid. She did eventually pay for that roof on 10/27/11, three years later."

They don't call you and let you know when they are going to be there. The representative that came out to give the estimate stated one thing and did another. He used a more expensive shingle than was in the estimate.
Response from Standard Builders of Enid
"Initially this client's claim was turned down by her insurance company. Our representative then met with her adjuster and he did in fact find damage and honored her claim. She is a little confused with what she received from her insurance company. The total claim was $6,893.12. We put on a lifetime shingle in place of the 3-tab with a 25 yr. warranty at her request. She signed a clearly written, itemized contract on 7/15/11 showing such. Total cost was $6,082.83. This left her $810.29. Insurance paid to repair her ceiling. This was ample for the $636.96 job. However, $500 was her deductible which she is responsible for. She had someone else whom she wanted to do the interior work."
