Auto Service
Initial contact (highway patrol gave us number of wrecker service to call regarding vehicle) Thursday morning at 11am was abrupt w no details released as Highway patrol had vehicle under investigation due to stolen vehicle report filed. Thursday afternoon (around 2p), Highway patrol released vehicle for pick up. We contacted wrecker service again - no answer. We went to wrecker service location, office hours listed 24/7, office was locked, no one answered knocking. Garage door and gate open, walked past garage looking for employees our vehicle was parked in wide open bay. Called out for anyone that worked there, no answer. Looked at our vehicle and waited for wrecker service employees... Man and woman enter and start yelling that we should have called first and asking 'if we always just walk into businesses' (well, actually, yes - yes I do) and acting extremely rude saying 'well excuse us for going and cooling off in the pool in the middle of the day' . Made arrangements w Man and Woman regarding picking up truck in morning, woman quoted $334 for tow (just a couple miles outside of Enid city limits, did not charge one day storage, and stressed six different times they ONLY accepted cash) and when asked why it was so much said that they had initially taken a different truck to accident site but that it wasn't big enough to recover our vehicle, therefore we were being charged two trips. Accident was worked by county sheriff and highway patrol while we filed our report with City police and wrecker service was given Instructions by sheriffs office. Friday morning, 9am, called wrecker service - no answer. 10am - no answer. 11-am Female answered and said they were out on a job and we could meet at 1:30p. 1:15p called wrecker service, no answer. 1:30 family showed up (after driving an hour and a half) w a truck and a trailer to load wrecked vehicle and tow home (an hour and a half away) at the wrecker service's business site where we had arranged to meet at 1:30p. Man yelled at family member for being there and not calling first. Family member called us, we were meeting them there and they made it before us. Female asked for money but not in a courteous manner, family member said we were on our way and he wasn't the one paying just towing it back to our house. Female said he wasn't loading anything until they were paid, family member explained he didn't expect anything different. When we arrived and paid fee, in cash, we requested a receipt. Female rolled her eyes headed into the office, came back out and asked if we needed multiples, we said yes-two please, she rolled her eyes again and said I am tired of y'all already. The entire experience w the female was rude, combative, insulting, and unprofessional. The man was just as bad upon initial contact but seemed to try to alter his attitude in a positive manner after a several minutes of conversation, whereas the woman's attitude just got worse at ever contact.
