Instead of replacing full wall. contractor only went down about three feet-have had dirt and water leaking into basement. I have both pictures and voice recording of this horrendous mess. Would not provide copies of bonding and insurance after this debacle. City code office had verified that he was bonded and insured but would not provide copies. I believe that he was guilty of "elderly exploitation" since I was unable to be on site to see what he was doing. What he said would be a three week project turned into a six month nightmare. He left the wall open during cold weather and my hot water heater (in the basement) froze and busted. He had assured me that it would not. Also an expensive contractor extension cord went missing while he was working.
