Couldn't have been a better experience. I left a key so they could let themselves in to do the work in my empty house I was remodeling 75 miles from my OKC home. I arrived at the project after 5pm the day they were to begin the job. I called Milt, the owner, a bit upset because he said they were going to start that morning. When he said they had cut in all the vents and the return in the ceilings, I was embarrassed to go back through the house and see they had indeed done so. They cleaned up every speck of dust they created cutting into my lath and plaster ceilings. THAT'S A FIRST! Because I expected there to be significant mess on the floors for me to clean up, when finding none, I didn't even look up to see what had been done. Wow! And that was the kind of job I got all the way through to completion. It is a quality unit, very quiet, and each time I would come to town and turn up the thermostat, it made the house cozy in minutes. ALSO, I had bids for twice as much as American Refrigeration and Heating did the job for.

They were professional on the phone and committing to do the job but they did not show up on the day that was scheduled for the work to be done and did not call. I called back and rescheduled. The next scheduled date was also missed and I received no phone call. It was not an emergency so it did not cause any inconvenience for us.

It was a weekend. These good folks were the only ones who would come out. The Tech who came out was very amicable. He did his utmost to get it fixed. It needed a fan motor, he tried all the motors he had in his truck but no joy. I did my best under a bunch of fans. To my surprise he returned before his shift next morning with a correct motor and I was all fixed up! Great Guy!

On time, friendly and professional

Milt was clear and accurate in describing what was going to be done. His employees were professional and thorough. For the first time in 15 years I have an air conditioning system that actually cools the house. In addition Milt got a rebate for me for $500 once we were done. I have spent a lot of money and time with other Heat and Air companies in this area. My previous experiences were pretty awful, costly mistakes. American treated me right. They are my new heat and air guys, although I may not see them much since they've done such a good job.
