TV Service - Cable
I signed up for a 10 mbps internet plan in November 2010. The cost at that time was $53 per month. I paid that rate for that plan for a total of 44 months (almost 4 years) & I was never late since it came out of my bank account automatically. I just saw an ad for a 50 mbps internet plan for $50 per month from this very same company. So in comparison I am overpaying for my services.
10mbps = $53
50mbps= $50
I went to my local provider and brought attention to this. The clerk agreed I was over paying and based on the plans they have 10 mbps are not offered to customers anymore. I had to wait til the following week to speak with the GM since he was out of town.
I stopped in today and spoke with Terry Harris the GM. He was less than pleasant to speak with and wasn't willing to credit me anything for my over payments. He said he felt my payments were just because that is the plan that I signed up for in 2010. I asked "Even though the rates that I am paying is for a premium plan and I'm not receiving that you think that is fair?" He said "Absolutely yes."
In total the over payments comes to $336 per year or $ 896 total (32 months)
I am not the first to be ripped off by this company and I certainly wont be the last.
