went well. One door still leaks a bit, but I believe at this point we need an awning.

The finished product was fantastic even better than I had hoped for. Starting out he came to give me a quote and was willing to do whatever I wanted. He had me pick out tile and gave me a list of measurements to take to any tile store. I bought my tile at classic tile in Okc. The job took a little longer than expected at 7 days but it was worth it. He even noticed a problem with my return air vent during construction and repaired it with no extra cost to me. My bathroom looks great and I will include pics.

Greg was always punctual and communicative and continually kept me informed and updated every step of the way.

Greg is a master at his trade. He obviously loves his work and cares about his finished product. He is highly creative and and has a very intuitive artistic eye for what he sees for his finished product. He easily shared my vision for this special little room. He shared some great ideas and was very patient with me. He was eager to please rather than push any ideas that might not coincide with mine. His wife Lisa would on occasion come with him to work and work she did too. A very nice and lovely hardworking lady.

Regarding costs I had no idea what to expect regarding building a room within the garage. I had no recent experience with any construction projects aside from considering a sunroom that were about $50k. When Greg gave me his estimate a couple of days later after his first visit I thought I had misunderstood him. I had to have him repeat it because his estimate was so much lower than I had even dared to think about. My instincts told me to hire him then and there and not worry about getting a second estimate. The confidence and trust I had in Greg Thompson were well warranted.

The first day Greg came to do the room estimate I mentioned to my intention to have my house painted in a few weeks and that I had a bid on it and was lined up to have it done. I asked Greg if he wanted to bid on it. He walked around the house a time or two then gave me a verbal bid AT LESS THAN HALF THE COST the first painter was going to charge.

Greg provided high quality work, was very attentive to every detail and went over and above in many ways. He did a first class paint job on my house, as well as gave me the beautiful, cozy room I had envisioned. Thank you Greg. I will see you soon!

I talked to Greg Thompson in mid December about what I needed done.  Greg was very quick to take a look and give me an estimate.  I viewed the project as not the easiest with the tall chimney being on the end of the roof, significant framing damage and the need for it to blend with the rest of the home's 10-15 year old paint.  I was impressed with Greg's knowledge and confidence as he spoke about the project.  Unlike others from whom I had gotten estimates, I felt confident he could handle the job.   I felt that his estimate was very reasonable. With the weather turning colder and holidays coming, Greg said he could get to the project by the end of December or mid-January, which was fine with me.  Right around the middle of January I was at work, getting ready to call Greg to make sure that I was still on his project list, when he called me to say that the chimney was about done!  It was completed the next day and it looked SO good, like  brand new construction. The paint match is incredible.  I will definitely contact Greg for future projects.

I hired Greg to do some repair to a rental house following the terrible hailstorm in Oklahoma -- I live in Arizona. The repairs consisted of a large amount of siding, some roof repair, door and window replacements. I requested bids/estimates from three contractors -- Greg was the most responsive and so won my business. He was clear about the timeframe for starting and finishing the work, as well as the estimate he provided. Greg stayed in touch with me both by email and phone -- providing me updates and pictures as the work progressed. I am 100% satisified with the work peformed and will definitely be using him again should I need anything done in the future. Thanks, Greg -- much appreciated!

We wanted 2 half-walls removed to open up our living area, ceramic tile removed, carpet removed, and a hardwood floor laid. Greg was the only contractor who actually went into the attic to determine if the walls were weight bearing. The walls were and he evaluated the construction as best he could beforehand to give us a good estimate. He was friendly and easy to talk to. Because he was the only who took the time to evaluate the construction of the house for the estimate, we hired him. He said he could start in about 2 or 3 weeks. In about 2-1/2 weeks, he called and told us the day to expect him. He took out the 1/2 walls, replaced the header in one of the openings to ensure it will hold up, finished the openings off, and sprayed texture to match the existing wall texture. He removed the tile and the grout to ensure a smooth foundation for the wood floor. He then laid down the wood floor perfectly. We had a difficult spot where the fireplace curves and he got the wood floor laid so well that we did not need to add any 1/4 round trim to cover where the floor meets the fireplace. Likewise - the baseboards we had before were sufficient to cover where the floor and wall met. (I believe sometimes you have to add 1/4 round trim around an entire wood floor.) Everything looks beautiful and was done very professionally. The estimate was exactly what he charged.
Greg is very friendly and he wants to know that you are pleased as the project is progressing. I tried to be quiet and leave him to work but he frequently wanted to hear that it was turning out as I wanted it. I felt comfortable around him and appreciate his wonderful work. He will be our first call when we decide to remodel our kitchen.
This is the first time we ever had remodeling work done. The process is dusty but Greg swept and cleaned up every day before he left. I think the dust just can't be helped when you are remodeling. I wish I could upload before and after pictures. It made a wonderful difference in our house.

I looked him up on Angie's List and I was a little disappointed in that because I didn't get the service that other people said they got. That did not make any sense to me. They painted all day outside. He started in November which surprised me to begin with. It took over a few weeks because he had to wait for the temperature to be right. That irritated me a bit because I didn't know as to why he would start. The paint job was fine. He came right out. I would recommend him only if it was summer time. After he repainted the whole front door he told me what the previous painter had not done. But luckily, I liked the way it looked. He got the job done but it took too long. I mean to have your house painted and for the men not to come back for a week, I didn't like that.

"When it comes to exterior painting the weather plays a big part, too windy, rain and even temperatures affect the progress. Sorry for the delay but we always strive to give the best work possible. Thanks for your understanding."

I am extremely pleased with the job. The price was great and it was a lot of work for them. Many neighbors have come by to express how nice the house looks and Greg's crew have three jobs scheduled around the neighborhood.

The crew was very nice, and diligent. They were careful with the paint and spent the time necessary for quality work.

On the last day, Greg came by and we walked the house to see if any spots needed further work. There were a few little things (part of a soffit that needed another coat), a corner that still a spot of paint etc.. But they were all minor and a few minutes took care of it.

Don't waste your money on some of the more expensive painters on Angie's list. These guys do a great job for 1/3 of the price.

The project did not go well as I had hoped-the biggest problem was that I thought I'd hired Greg to do the work-but he subbed it all out to his brother and his brothers helper. It started by Greg telling me he was going to have his texture match guy come in and do the texture matching-which I was ok with because its somewhat of a specialty. It was his brother and the helper who did this-then they began painting-then tileing. They were nice enough guys-showed up every day at 8-worked until 12-1pm-and spent a majority of that time smoking outside. Needless to say the job was taking much longer than it should have-and their work was sloppy-much of it I'm paying to have redone.

I fired them about 60% through the job after talking with Greg and letting him know that I wanted him to step in and at least help them out. Greg actually did none of the work on my job-and based on the reviews here I expect that he does good work.

If you use him just make sure that he is the one actually does the work. If I'd have known someone else was going to do the work-I'd of checked their work and references-but I didn't have that chance.
Response from THOMPSON CONSTRUCTION & REMODELING
"Well to start with I do not sub out work to other people. I put my 2 best guys on the job and told them to take their time and do a really good job. I was at the job-site every day to inspect the work and progress and to drop off materials as needed. At the time I had 4 other jobs going also that needed my attention and supervision. Lucky for me and my employees I allways tend to have more than enough work to do.As for this client and his wife told me and the guys they were really happy with the work being done, so much so that they left me a key to get in and out of the house and left on vacation for a week. I NEVER comprimise quality for speed. I wish I could have had all my guys at that job at once but my other customers were just as important to me. Remodeling an occupied home sometimes takes alot of patience. I guess you just can't please everyone..."
