Overpriced, ransom holders...please be aware! My daughter is a college student at UCO and has a wonderful little cat as a roommate so she doesn't get lonely. The poor little thing got a cut and a cyst formed from infection. My daughter took the cat to this Vet and they highly recommended surgery. My daughter calls crying and states that the estimate is $473.47 and doesn't have that much money saved up yet. We want her to learn some independence, but we aren't going to let her or her little roommate suffer...so we agree to cover the costs. They wanted the surgery to happen the next day, so a second opinion was a little scary to go after with the "emergency" impression that was given. No big deal we said, just bring the estimate home and prep your kitty for the surgery. She drops her BFFL off at the Vet around 7:30am and nervously waits for the results. Everything went rather well, please come back at 2pm for pick up. She calls us with excitement and promises to pay us back somehow/someway. Mom meets her at the Vet for the 2pm pickup. The bill gets arranged and presented to them. $858.13...!!!... ***?!? Oh, we generously gave you a $50 discount. What business racket gives an estimate and ends up charging you almost double??? They will not release your animal until the bill is paid. I don't know anyone who could keep a job telling their bosses that they under-budgeted the project and came in at double the price. The kindest words I can come up with is that this business is highly unprofessional. This business is a ludicrous racket that takes advantage of you at a most vulnerable time. Reports will go out to the BBB and the State AG.

I took my cat for her yearly health exam and vaccinations. We moved to the Edmond area this year and needed to find a new vet. Dr. Pate was the veterinarian assigned to do the exam and she was terrific. Very kind and gentle with our cat and very pleasant to talk to. All the staff was extremely nice and attentive. We have another cat that will need his exam soon and I will be returning to Dr. Pate with him in a month. I found the costs charged for the exam and vaccines to be the same as I paid at our last veterinarian on the east coast. I highly recommend this office and especially Dr. Pate.

The overall appointment was great! I called to schedule an appointment that morning and was in the same day. Staff was very kind and handled our very nervous dog well.

Dr. Kennemer is very good. He is very gentle with animals. He is very thorough in explaining what is going on. I would continue to use him in the future.
