Description of Work: I am doing this review because Angies List constantly sends me emails about it. Basically I bought this coupon for Electrical work. The electrician did not return my calls. I then learned they are pretty far away from my house so I called Angies List and got a refund. I probably would not purchase one of these coupons again.

Description of Work: We had Steve come out twice to our house - once to install a heater and other electrical in a bathroom being remodeled and then to install a light fixture in a dining room. He was very nice on the phone and relatively punctual (he was late both days but called ahead to give us a heads up). However I felt that he was overpriced and slow (which when you are paying by the hour matters). I appreciate people who take their time and do a job correctly but we found significant problems with the work performed after the inspection on our house (we recently sold it). The extra work was estimated to cost us a significant amount but luckily our real estate agent knew an electrician that he had previously used that cut us a deal on the follow-up work. Really frustrating. Finally, after installing the heater and electrical in our bathroom Steve had cut a huge hole in our ceiling (most likely necessary since our attic space is so limited). The only problem is when he told us that he was going to go through the ceiling (and we agreed) he did not specify the amount of space he was going to cut out. We initially thought we would be able to repair it ourselves but the hole was so large (3 feet by 2 feet) and so oddly cut that we ended up having to call in a professional to patch it up.

Description of Work: I hired Mr. Ocker to complete many electrical repairs in my home. I was "enticed" by the special on his services and the fact that Angie's list gave him high marks. His reputation for excellence in all things electrical, including repairs is well deserved. He is personable, knowledgeable, effective and thorough. He also extends himself above and beyond "the call of duty". I was considering lighting some trees in my courtyard and he actually brought samples of two types of lighting (above and below ground units) and let me try them for a week to see which type of lighting unit I preferred. I will use his services when I do install the lighting. Mr. Ocker is a people person. But unlike some other repair people, he does not allow his gregarious nature to keep him from completing his work tasks... and doing a thorough and highly competent job, in a timely way. I would hire him again, without reservation, if I had more electrical problems. I am very happy that I took advantage of Angie's list special with Mr. Ocker. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

Description of Work: Steve was great to work with.He replaced all the lighting on the front of my home including my lampost.He went above and beyond what was necessarry includung securing my lights with extra anchoring deep into my masonry to protect the lights during strong winds. I will definitely use him again! Very professional, prompt and personable!

Description of Work: I purchased a deal on Angie's List for two hours of electrical labor for $99. Steve was bombarded, so it took a few weeks to work out a date to have him come out. He apologized over and over for the delay. He was prompt, courteous, professional and most importantly very good. I showed him the several things I wanted done and we decided what he could do in the two hour window. We will re-schedule the rest. He did great work, cleaned up after himself and since I didn't use the entire two hours, is going to apply the unused portion to his next call. I am extremely happy to know I have an electrician I can call for work who is professional, dependable and competent!

Description of Work: He installed a new plug. I wish he would had time to install 4 light fixtures also, but we will have him out later to do that.

Description of Work: Called Steve on Friday, 23 Sep and described how the electriciy in the bathroom just quit working. He asked a few questions and said he would come out to the house between 1 and 2 pm on Saturday the 24th. He called at 1:45 pm saying he was not going to make it and would come on Sunday. He didn't call or show on Sunday. Based on his diagnosis I went to Lowe's and bought a pass through GFI switch and replaced the defective one myself. Problem fixed.
