The unit was installed just this fall so we haven't been able to test the AC side but the heat side is super quiet, runs in short cycles like he planned using multi-stage blower control and even calculated the extra headroom in the supply side plenum to try to eliminate turbulent airflow causing loss in efficiency. It was a tight space installing the new insulated ducts in the ceiling space and he had several good suggestions as he also is a landlord with multiple personal rentals. His degree is electrical engineering and he applies what he knows to his work every day.
Description of Work: We bought a 1984 brick ranch house in Edmond OK that was a bank forclosure that had been sitting idle for 4-5 years. The under slab duct work was rusted allowing sand and termites to get into the house through the ducts. I sealed off the ducts with concrete and Bob Rosa proposed, bid, and installed an American Standard 16 SEER AC and 96% furnace and complete duct work through the attic crawl space over cathedral ceilings to all living spaces, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and designed a hallway return air plenum to maximize airflow and minimize noise. Bob is matriculate about his planning and executed this installation perfectly even finishing up some of the sealing of the space around the furnace into the attic that I had agreed I would do when he was done. He created engineering drawings of his plan, he pushed me to give him the maximum drain size for condensation drains, made sure the pad elevation was level, installed new low voltage control lines, hid the lines from UV under a cover made for that and buttoned up everything perfectly including capping it off with a color touch screen WIFI enabled thermostat. We trusted him with a key and an alarm code to work when we couldn't be there. Very nice guy.
