The owner and designer of Marble Designs suggested which granite colors would best compliment our cabinets, lighting and home design.  She made style and product suggestions associated with the granite, like the sink, and counter garbage disposal button.  We selected our slab choices, the company came out to measure and template, and installation was done in one day.  The crews were amazingly efficient, and left the areas clean. The owner's project design and color analyst skills are excellent!  Many of the other vendors, just sell you the granite, but don't have much design or color skills to offer the client.  The styles and finishes look really high end and custom, and we are so pleased with the color selections.  We really did our research on this project, and found Marble Designs to be a very popular provider in this field, with a very strong reputation for excellence in craftsmanship and customer satisfaction, and the best overall value.  We enjoyed doing business with Marble Designs, and found them to be a professional and well run company.  We loved how the project turned out in all the rooms, and know that it greatly enhanced the value and aesthetics of our home.  We will definitely use Marble Designs on any new build or future remodel projects.

Four years ago, Marble Designs did our kitchen, powder bath counter top, and a tub deck.  We loved how beautifully our granite counter tops turned out, and enjoyed working with them so much, that when we decided it was time to update our Master bath, my husband immediately suggested turning to them again for the bathroom counter top.  The people at Marble Designs are just wonderful, extremely knowledgeable about their products and associated materials, and provide excellent customer service.   The owner and designer listened to my objective for the project, helped me choose the perfect material for the counter top, and coordinating stone style and color choices, to compliment some already existing granite we wanted to keep around the tub.  In addition, the owner provided me some additional assistance and guidance regarding complimentary paint colors, and other accessory hardware issues.  After our product selection and initial estimate, a representative came out to measure and template our counter top, and then on installation day, the crew was polite, in and out quickly, the product was meticulously installed, and they left the place spotless!  We absolutely love our new bathroom, and our new counter tops beautifully compliment and flow with the new room design and the other materials, transitioning the room into a more desirable and updated look!
I know a lot of people in my neighborhood have used Marble Designs, and throughout town, and I've never heard anything other than complimentary, no matter the size, or expense of the job.  I will definitely use them for any future new build or remodel projects.

Denise heped me pick out the colors to match what my living room carpet and furniture, and also assisted in getting the correct measurements.  They used "scraps" (i.e. anything they had that was less than a full slab) as that made the per-square-foot price much lower than if a new slab was used.  Note:  a scrap was large enough to make a 4' diameter round table, as well as a 12' x 4' coffee table and a 2' x 2' end table, and another scrap of a different granite made a 2' x 4' special purpose table top.
The work was top quality.  Edges were perfect, size was exact, and all were polished flawlessly.  All were delivered and installed by courteous workers, when promised.  I would definitely use them again, and recommend them without question.

After a general contractor walk off the job, I had to locate individual subcontractors to complete the home renovation. I telephoned several granite companies for bids. Marble Designs was not the least expensive, but certainly stellar w/their service and workmanship. I had some new cabinetry added to several rooms of the house, necessitating some new granite.  I also had some large pieces of existing granite which needed to be re-designed and installed. Marble Designs treated me as though I were a customer purchasing thousands of feet of granite. I was treated with respect and courtesy.  The workmanship was excellent.
Additionally, they cleaned up their mess. Shortly after they arrived, an electrician was completing his job and he left a huge mess for me to clean up. When a homeowner hires someone to complete a job, one should not also have to clean up a mess. The Marble Designs staff cleaned up so thoroughly that one would never have known they were here (other than the lovely new counters). THANK YOU for taking the time to provide great customer satisfaction.

I contracted with a person on their referral list for removal of the counter tops and backsplash.  The work was performed expeditiously.  Marble Designs furnishes a list of possible contractors with whom they have worked and feel they can recommend which I appreciated.  They also let you know what to expect as far as how the work will be done and the timeline.  Marble Designs sent a person to measure the cabinet tops which were created using the slab a marble that I chose.  They were able to create the tops without a seam which I really liked.  The work was performed on time in a very professional manner.

April, Wendy and David were all great to work with.  Each one of them was more than willing to help with any of my questions.  Not only were they kind and helpful, but they also were so knowledgeable and willing to offer advice on my color choices.  I was so impressed with the whole experience.  I would definitely use them again and I recommend them to all my friends.

Wendy and April spent numerous afternoons putting up with us trying to make up our minds on exactly what we wanted.  They were friendly, courteous, patient and very helpful.  They provided us with written information on how to take care of the granite and they were also helpful with recomendations of other contrators.   Once we decided on exactly what we wanted a time was set up for someone to come out and make a templet for our counter tops.  He showed up on time and was professional, friendly and helpful.  When the counter top was ready to be installed the two young men that were installing it showed up on time and were very polite and friendly.  I have referenced "on time" several times because it is an important issue to me.  Sitting around waiting on someone who is not on time and can't make a phone call to let you know they will be late is a deal breaker for me.  Marble Design was very prompt every step of the way. The counter top is beautiful.

As usual, Marble Designs  very much exceeded our expectations.      Angies List doesn't give the ability to rate a provider as an  "A+", or that's what our rating would be !
From the sales perspective, April is very knowledgeable and is not afraid to make recommendations or tell you when you might want to reconsider a selection that she knows will not work or might not look good.   She explains the entire process, the timing of it all, and lets you know EXACTLY what to expect and what you need to have ready when they come to do the templating & then the installation.
April has contacts with a lot of subcontractors that she can recommend to do the parts of the jobs that Marble Designs does not do.  (e.g., Demolitions & Tile).   She will not recommend someone unless she knows of good work that they have done, and she wants feedback on them if you use them.
The installers are incredible.    When they arrive, they are very efficient and do a high quality job.   These are true craftsmen that care a lot about how their work is done.
Marble Designs is top-notch.   They deliver exactly what they say they'll deliver, when they say they'll deliver, and at the cost they quote.

We bought a house that needed a lot of TLC. The first rooms to be updated were the kitchen & bath. We visited with April about color to go with the floor tile already in place. She set up a date & time to come and measure and look at the project.  She saw the colors we were using and made a suggestion on a couple of pieces of granite that she thought would look good.  We then made our choice.  As soon as that was done they started the project.  Everything we very smooth, the workers that came in were courteous and and cleaned things up when they left.  Our walls were not exactly level and they made the granite fit in pefectly.  I would recommend this company for any type of granite work.  They did an excellent job for us.

The sales process went very smooth and we felt very welcomed in our dealings with April and the other staff every time we dealt with them, even from the first phone call we made to them before our visit to the store.  April explained their process, and advised us to bring one of our cabinet doors with us when we came to pick out the granite, as well as a drawing & measurements of our counters.    We started by going out in the yard to view the actual slabs of granite, and made a list of the one's we were most interested in.  Once we had that list, April helped us sort through them to settle on 3 - 4 samples to take home to our kitchen.   We got that down to two, and then returned to the store to look at the slabs again and make the final decision, where we got to pick out our actual slab.

Next, they sent out a man to measure & make a template of our countertops.   He was very throrough and  had ideas about how to lay out the stone to get the most out of our selection (seam location, etc.).   Once the templates were made, we then returned to the store to assist in determining from what areas of the slab our counters would be cut from, using the templates that were made.

We used a contractor on April's list for demolition of the old counters & tile installation(backsplash).    He came out and gave us a firm price for the work, and worked with us to accomodate Marble Design's schedule.   His demolition work was VERY clean -- there was no trace of debris or anything in our kitchen when he was finished.   His tile work on the backsplash was very well done as well.   I would definitely use this demolition/tile contractor again, BUT you have to take into account that he is ALWAYS late.  He was two hours late on our appointment to give us the bid, and 1.5 hours late for the demolition and the tile install work.

Once the demolition was done, we discovered that the space in our cabinets for the stove was about 1/2" too small.   The cabinets were custom built to the original appliances, and there was no allowance for a full 30" range.   We were in panic as the counters were already cut, and the installers were to be there the next day.   I talked to April and she immediately got me calmed down by telling me that she'd get her trim carpenter out first thing in the morning before the countertop installers came.  The carpenter came out and had to get a little creative, but he managed to enlarge the space for the stove.  You have to really look hard to realize any adjustments were made.  I would definitely use this guy again.  He responded quickly, did quality work, and kept our installation  schedule on-track.

The countertop installers worked very quickly, and were also very clean about their work.   The few seams that had to be made in our counters are VERY well done.  The counters were cut exactly as they needed to be, so very little adjustment had to be made once they were starting the install.  One adjustment had to be made to the piece of granite for our windowsill, and the window was originally mounted a little low, which meant the granite was too thick for the space.  The installers were able to make adjustments to the granite onsite, and now it looks fantastic.

We are very pleased with the workmanship and the professional approach Marble Designs takes to their business.  They want you to be satisfied with their work, and it shows.   We will definitely call April when we start our next project.

The overall experience was excellent. The company's expertise was demonstrated from start to finish in the professional, yet friendly, way the office staff, measurement person, and installers approached and completed the job. Marble Designs gives personal service, has a good selection available, and tries to help you meet your needs. I was impresssed with the fact that Denise Kerstine made every effort to work within my budget. She helped with design factors, even in areas where products would not be purchased from Marble Designs, asking questions so that I would be pleased with the final result of my kitchen remodel. I was definitely pleased with the way the granite countertop looks, and coordinates with my cabinets and flooring. The installers were extremely careful, and their expertise was very evident. They worked to have the countertop look just right, and it does! I was contacted after the installation to make sure that I was satisfied. It was a successful experience.

They came out and gave me a quote and recomended a granite color. The recomendation was perfect. They were very good about working with us in picking out the right slabs. The guy that did the template was very pleasant and friendly. I did the tear-out myself on a Monday, they did the install on Tuesday. Although they did not give me an arrival time, I knew it was their first job of the day and I had expected an early arrival, like 8:30, or maybe 9:00 at the latest. They arrived about 9:30. The guys were reasonably pleasant. As they got into the install it became apparent that the template (or the cut) was not done very well, resulting in the need to cut sheetrock from the wall to try to make the peices fit better. In the end that was not very effective and the result was that it was necessary to leave an unnecessarily wide gap against the wall in an area that is not covered by the backsplash and I'm not sure that the one joint (in the middle of the sink) was as tight a fit as it could have been because of this. The peice on the other wall was cut shorter than it needed to be, also resulting in the fit not being as tight as is could have been. However, the gaps were effectively filled with a very good quality silicone caulk that is made to use with granite and is a very near match, so the final outcome was acceptable, although not ideal. Next, the installers spent a great deal of time leveling the granite, which I'm sure is most normally the right thing to do, but in this old house the cabinets were over 1/2 inch out of level from one end of the room to the other. I had to point out that leaving the top that way resulted in a very noticeable uneven line visa-vis the backsplash. So I talked them into setting the granite where the gap with the backsplash was even and straight from one end to the other. It seemed like I was having to tell them how to do it right, which was a little disturbing to me and made me wonder what would have happened had I not been there or not known enough to help them. Also, in the process of positioning the granite they chipped one of the peices right in the front of the sink, in a very visible spot. When they were finished I was given a bill that was for more than the quote I was given. I did not remember ever being told that the quote was an estimate. I thought it was a firm quote, so I had, in part based my decision to go with them on it being a firm quote. However, after some discussion they did lower the price back to the quote. In spite of all this, in the end we were happy with the job. The chip in the granite was effectively repaired with a filler. I would not have believed it, but it was a very effective repair, and if I hadn't seen the chip before they repaired it I would probably never have known it was there. Even knowing, I have to look close to see it. The experience has made me wonder that if I wasn't so picky, and that if I hadn't watched the process so closely, if I would have been completely satisfied. I have done a lot of construction projects myself over the years. I was a cabinet maker professionally for a couple of years before going to college and getting a degree, and I've done a lot of handy man work of my own, built cabinets, cabinet doors, etc..., so I know how to do a lot of things well. Those experiences have given me a critical eye for work that is not done carefully and skillfully. Even so, I have to call it as I see it. The job and experience could have been better, so I have given them a B. I think that is fair. But at the same time I've admitted I would probably use them again.
