Vern came out when scheduled. He seemed like a nice man. He looked at our ac unit, and did not see anything wrong with the unit, except that he considered it too small for the space we were cooling. He said he needed to go up in the attic to check something on the heater part, but said it was too hot. He wanted to return one morning the following week. I called him the next day (Friday) to schedule his return, and he said he couldn't come until Wednesday or Thursday. I was hoping for Monday or Tuesday, so he said he'd try to re-arrange some things. He said he would call me back Friday evening or Saturday. Vern never did call me back, and when I called him Tuesday morning, he said he had some things happen that were not in his control, and he'd be happy to recommend someone else to help us. I said "no thank you."
I understand people have situations that come up in their lives that are uncontrollable. When you hire a one-man show, this is what you get. This is not the first time I have had trouble with a small independent serviceman, and I'm afraid I will have to go to a bigger company next time to get service.
While Vern may do a very good job, he was unable to complete a job for me, so I cannot recommend him to anyone else. Because Vern was supposed to return to complete the job but did not, he did not charge us any money.

One hot day in September we noticed our fan motor had gone out. My husband asked me to call Vern with Comfort Caire. This is not the first time we have used him for our service needs. He said he would be out the next day and he kept his appt and replaced the fan motor. We got home that evening, and thank goodness, we had cool air flowing again. His price was fair, and always is. In our experience Vern is a very honest and trustworthy. We have always been happy with his service and we will never call anyone else. I highly recommend him.

Comfort Caire Plumbing does great work. I would hire them again in a heart beat. They fixed the problem right away.
