The work was completed on time and for $200 under budget. Brian and his entire staff of professionals are great. They even brushed the snow off and warmed my truck for me. I have only good things to say about my experience, true I had major work done and did without my truck for a few days, but the work done saved me a very bad, potential accident.
I had to go out of town and my starter and turn signal had been a problem which got much worse. I was to the point to where I would have to start back (140 mi one way) I knew that there would be a chance once I started back, I would not be able to stop for anything. I searched for a mechanic on Angie's close by my destination and I found Brian's Automotive Services in Edmond which is where I work. I called him up and explained my situation and what my truck was doing. He took down my information and I gave him an approximate time when I might make it in. I made a non stop drive in, with most of in on back roads and when I got to the interstate, there was road repair crews every 20 miles.
I made it in, and they were waiting for me, I used their services and got some cool water. I left it with them over night. Before I got home
Brian had called and said my truck would be ready in the morning at 9am and it was the starter was replaced and the switch on my turn signal was not bad, but the relay which saved me $100. The prices were as quoted and all in all, a bad experience was made much, much better. His shop was clean and his techs were also. It was a very good experience and now I have a good shop for both my cars. They called me back about 1-2 hours later indicating that they had to order the part, and it would not be in until the next day. They gave me an estimated cost at that time. They replaced the eroded/torn tubing/lines to the steering wheel, and replaced the fluid. They check my brake pads for free!! They called me with the exact cost, and the car was ready at the expected time.
They treated me with kindness, and didn't try to pull the wool over my eyes. I appreciate their kindness, exceptional, and expedient work. Would recommend them to friends, family and co-workers. Plan to take my car back in the future.
Drove down to Brian's on a Thursday morning, met Joetta, who was very nice and professional and told her what I needed. She gave me a Monday morning appointment. I dropped the car and since I am new to the area, don't have any friends...so asked Joetta if I can get a ride to the nearest rent a car place. She said..to wait for 5 mins and some one will take me there. After 2 mins. another smiling face came and asked me to join him to where I wanted to go. We both were not very sure where the rent a car place was, but he was very patient, kind and found the place. When he dropped me, I asked his name and found out that was Brian - the owner itself!!!, what a humble, cheerful and down to earth guy.
Later in the afternoon, Joetta and I exchanged a few phone calls and I picked the Tahoe up the same day.
I didn't negotiate or anything on the price since the work done on my car was slightly out of the ordinary.
Thank you Joetta and Brian.
I went because several people had recommended them, and I know they can be busy but I would appreciate the honesty and say we are busy now but I can schedule you another day. I was without a car for 3 days and now I don't even feel comfortable driving it. I know I don't know anything about cars and as he was reading everything to me over the phone I needed to get done I felt even stupider but I can't help but feel I've been had.
I have updated my review on Brian's Auto because after receiving my review Brian did contact me personally to appologize for the inconvience and to offer to look at and try to correct the problem I originally had plus the new problems that have cropped up. He had offered to do further maintenance on it for free which I truly appreciate. Unfortunately due to the fact that I needed a reliable car quickly as I was going in and out of town, we opted it would be more beneficial to just sell the car and buy a new one which we did on Saturday.
I would say for Brian's automotive to just be honest with their customers and let them know when they are over busy. It's good to have a lot of business as I went due to recommendations from friends, but I think it's more customer friendly to schedule a time and date then do the cars in the order of their arrival. But I do appreciate Brian trying to make it right with me, I thought that was very nice.
