Fine until I was informed what Baxter H & A charges for a $14 replacement piece, OVER $200 ! I have used Baxter Heat & Air for some time and have recommended it to my neighborhood. I had my annual heater maintenance ( $99 ) on 11/01/2016 by the same tech that has performed my service several times, he is a good tech btw. He informed me my blower capacitor was failing and needs to be replaced the price Baxter charges was over $ 200 , a ten-fold price increase ! I asked if it was absolutely necessary because I am going to replace the entire HVAC system next spring, he said I really needed to. I had no choice so I told him to go ahead. I emailed BAXTER HEAT & AIR and waited until noon the next day for a phone call ... nothing ! So I called and got the "we were in a meeting " routine from the alleged service manager, Shawn I believe who also indicated he had read my email. I explained I fully understand inflating the price for parts 2 - 4 times but NOT 10 times, that is nothing but a customer ripoff in my view. I asked the manager if this is Baxter's business practice or was there a mistake made, surprisingly he said it was their business practice. he also attempted the weak excuse the amount entails the time involved . Right ! The testing and diagnosing of the system and its parts is part of the annual maintenance. That excuse may fool some people. Baxter just lost a good customer because of a simple and overpriced part. It also lost my recommendations to my neighborhood, we rely on word-of-mouth here. They also attempted to not honor on the minimal Veterans discount I was quoted when I made the appointment. If you want to do business with a company that charges these prices to formally good customers go ahead, I will find a company that treats its customers fairly and does not just blow them off.

The technicians arrived 30 minutes early.  They were polite and respectful.  The installed the light fixtures it only took 30 minutes.  I had had the old fixtures removed to save time and money.  The charge was 279.00.  The service call was $99.00 and the charge to install each fixture was $40.00.  I had 4 identical light fixtures installed two months ago.  The electrician took down the old fixtures and installed 4 new fixtures for $123.00.  He spent twice as much time for less than half the amount of money.  He did an excellent job.  I called Baxter this time because I had used them in the past and I didn't have the contact information for the last electrician handy.  I will definitely take the time to shop elsewhere next time.  I have rental property.  I had a problem with a heat pump that required assistance that my normal A/C guy couldn't handle.  He told me not to call Baxter Electric because they were too expensive that I would do better to call elsewhere.  This should have been my tip off.  I had already called to schedule the light repairs at my home.  I should have called and cancelled with Baxter and called someone else.  I would only use Baxter Electric if they are your only option.

Smoke alarms would not shut off on a Saturday. Tech came out quickly and installed 2 alarms that stopped the problem.  He had no other alarms on his truck to replace the other alarms which were 12 years old. Offered  that we could buy  the other 4 alarms and they would install. Bought  them at  a good price from Amazon and they installed them for $200 which I thought was very high as the two techs were here for less than 0.5 hour. Weekend cost was  what I expected. Problem is, they price jobs at at flat rate rather than factoring in the scope of the actual job.  Kudos for letting us buy the alarms ourselves at most competitive price. Quality service and good personnel but pricing is very high.

I've used them for years. It's always excellent service. I think I paid $175 for the two visits - there was one in the spring and one in the fall. They're usually always on time. They say they will be here between certain hours. Sometimes they're early. They come before eight o'clock. I always have them come in the morning. So, they're very good, very courteous and professional. They always give me the bill and all that. I don't have any complaints with them. They're very responsive. They come and tell me what's going on and everything.

They informed me of an Edmond Electric Co. rebate during quote that I was able to get on the 16 SEER system that none of the other 5-6 companies had told me about.  I had requested the NEST thermostat and had it in the quote and initially the wrong thermostat was installed.  However, they corrected the problem and changed to the NEST theromostat.  Due to the size of my attic entry and the new furnace, the attic ladder had to be removed and re-installed.  They had a construction company come out and do the re-install of the attic ladder.  It was a couple of days before the other company got back with me to re-install the ladder.  No other problems with all of the work done.  Overall, no complaints and would use again.

During the really cold spell we had, my heating unit went out and they came in at the last minute on Thanks Giving Day. It is unusual for somebody to do that and not charge me extra. They did a good job. He was here for about an hour. What stood out was the fact that it was a holiday and usually, you cannot even get anybody on the phone let alone come out and do the work. So, I would certainly recommend them. If somebody was asking me a name, I would say I used Baxter and I was really pleased.

Took 1-1/2 days to complete installation. They removed the old unit (under house) and replaced. Absolutely no hassles. Crew did an excellent job. Cleaned up afterwards. Unit works flawlessly. The original delivered thermostat had a cracked face. Crew brought a new one the next day, installed and configured.
The City inspector found out it was Baxter and said all there installations were perfect. They have never had an issue with any of their work.
