Artisan Painting and Construction

Hired Dale Thomas owner of Artisian Painting and construction located in Edmond Oklahoma. He required 1/3 payment up front although asked us to purchase paint and primer. He was given key and security code to house and told us job would take aprox. 10 days to complete. We live out of town and my parents house is not occupied and we let him know we would be back in a week to check on progress. We found that they had gotten a lot done in the week although work did not appear to be the quality we expected. They did not use any painters tape and there was paint on ceilings, wood trim, furniture and floors. They did not cover furniture despite saying they would be doing so and it was obvious that they did not attempt to remove wall paper in most rooms, rather they textured over it and painted. You can easily see wall paper seems in most rooms under the paint and texture. Work is not quality and appears sloppy and rushed. We paid the second installment but were not met by owner as had been promised. A couple days later concerns were raised when neighbors reported a car in driveway overnight on 2 occasions. We came up unannounced and decided to terminate services upon discovering numerous tools, electronics, and other things missing from garage and house. Dale did not provide insurance or license when we asked for it and he said he would get our "stuff" back but we have not heard from him again. He gave his employee the key and code to our house without our consent and as a result we had items stolen and had to spend additional money to replace locks and upgrade security system. Do not use Artisian Painting and Construction.

At each step, all of our belongings were protected with drop clothes, masking tape and masking paper.
During the painting day, TV and internet connections were reconnected as soon as possible for our use. At the end of each day, things were cleaned up so my family could use the living space in the evenings. The kitchen was done in a fell swoop and cleaned up so that it could be used in the evening of the same day.
Everything was returned to its proper place and or reconnected when painting was completed.
Trim was given a nice sharp edge. Touch ups were thorough.
Painters were pleasant and respectful of us and our things. I will use them for other projects as I continue updating my home.
