I like them. It is 2 female veterinarians that are graduates of Oklahoma State University college of veterinarian medicine. They are very personable and caring. All of the staff seem to be. My pup had a reaction to one of the injections. I thought she had broken her leg because she was yelping and wincing and had a big knot on her hip area. I called and took her right up there. That's when the doctor said, well, I think she is having a reaction to the shot and they gave her something and made a note to give her something before she gets the shot next time. I took her home and she was fine. The knot went down and everything was good. I just thought that the customer service and caring was good. The good attitude of the doctor and the other staff. It has been a long time since I took a pet but the price seemed reasonable.

Have been taking my German Shepard there for close to 10 years, the service started to decline rapidly the last few years. Was awakened to my dog whimpering on a Saturday morning, and he wasn't able to get up. Called and informed the vet about the my dog, was told to bring him in an hour, but to wait for a phone call. The vets office called 45 minutes later, told us not to bring the dog in, but wished us Good Luck.

I adopted the best kitten from this vet. The kitten got sick. From the beginning these vets had a liaise fair attitude always dismissing my concerns. She's not sick she's just getting older...Nothings wrong with her paws, she's just cranky because she has a fever,..The discharge from her eyes is just because of the procedure she had...etc. etc. After 6 weeks of tests, $3,500 in bills, lengthy stays with no diagnosis, taking her to two other veterinarians (who were friends with these doctors) for more tests and surgeries things were really bad and I took the kitten in. This doctor had her assistant tell me that the feeding tube had become dislodged. It turns out the vet didn't read the x-ray correctly and it was just a NEW type of feeding tube she didn't know about. This vet told me my kitten had FIP and she would put the kitten down. That same night I took the kitten to the emergency room doctor and was blown away by the FUNGUS she had that had gone undiagnosed by these doctors and their friends. The x-ray showed the fungus was everywhere. I had to put the kitten to sleep because the emergency room doctor said there was really no hope; the fungus had spread throughout her whole body. He took a sample of the kitten and it was hystoplasmosis...not FIP. These doctors kept saying it was a "Fever of Unknown Origin". Had these doctors properly read the x-rays or used digital x-rays or listened and not dismissed the symptoms maybe we could have caught it earlier. If the surgeon had taken a sufficient sample maybe the proper diagnosis would have been made. I never stood a chance with this kitten. It turns out that all her litter mates died and evidently this is a bad sign. I was not told this was important until I was at the surgery center. It turns out the kitten had tested positive for feline leukemia prior to her adoption. I could go on and on...like the time I was prescribed large pills for the little kitten by another vet. I had to purchase the pills from this vet. This doctor laughed and said she didn't know how I was going to get the pills down my kitten. It turned out a liquid was available and these doctor's either weren't educated enough to know about the alternative or weren't caring enough to send me somewhere else to buy it.

Condition continued until we went to a another vet three months later for a second opinion who then told us that the xray that Acre View had taken looked like gas, not an obstruction. The second vet asked us about the food we were using. Changed food due to new owner of the dog food company and reported problems from other German Shepherds and the food. When we attempted to obtain the x-rays from Acre View, Margaret King, the senior vet, came to the front desk and talked to us inquiring why we are taking them (we knew they were our property). It was obvious this was the first time she had been consulted about our dog's condition as she hastily wrote notes on the file before I left to cover any liability she might have. So it had been 3 months of a continuing condition with no change and she had never been consulted? No concern for the animal via follow-up phone calls. They even sent us a bill with a service charge included claiming we hadn't paid for the final blood test. An employee claimed we had been receiving the bill every month, though we hadn't received any and removed the service charge. Overall we very disappointed in their lack of concern, incorrect diagnosis, and lack of knowledge of possible food problems.

Animal Boarding Kennels
Acre View Pet Hospital is not my top choice. They raised their prices without giving a warning. I would hire them again, only because they are more knowledgeable for their healthcare for the animals.
