The price was way too high—he spent more time away from my home to get parts than he did working (45 minutes—away 15-20 minutes replacing parts) I asked the gentleman if the email would provide an itemized statement—he stated it should. No itemized statement—emailed twice requesting and phoned the next day asking. The lady said we don’t do those we charge by the book! What is the book?? She stated service manager was at lunch but he or she would give me a call back been 4 days since service—still no paperwork or phone call. I then went to parts store and found out the most expensive parts would have been approximately $60; these were not for my cheaper faucet. I just wanted to see the itemized charges—simple request; do they not keep records??! Trevor, who came out on March 14th was very professional and gave me estimates before he did anything—I really appreciated this. Unlike Zachbe price just seemed high for what he did.

Horrible service when you have an issue after they get their money. They were nice, quick, and friendly when they had new client and our money. BUT WHEN YOU HAVE AN ISSUE…like the pressure pump they put in keeps resetting and doesn’t work properly they took almost 9 months to come out and take their pump back and said they would refund it. Been 2 weeks no refund and we went there, David the service manager supposedly can’t find the cost of the pump…showed a guy we spoke to there that we have the invoice with the price of the pump and he said he’d have to have David call us! Absolutely ridiculous dealing with them! Not quick and efficient if you have problems with them! Be better off going with local people who can do plumbing.

The tech was prompt and friendly. The leak was in a difficult location to get to. My husband had already cut out the sheetrock, but didn't have quite enough room to fix the leak. John was able to replace several joints with new fittings. The repair was much better than what was originally there. Would recommend this company.

Blackburn attempted to clean a sewer line using a jet system that cleans lines using water under high pressure. The process ended abruptly when the jet system blew a hose and could no longer hold the water under pressure. By then the plumber had determined that the blockage was on the city's side of the pipe. He was kind enough to call the city on my behalf get them started on the problem. I was charged for a service call. I am assuming it is their minimum charge to show up. Fair enough. The two guys that came were professional and very polite. I will use this company again as needed.

I called Blackburn based on ads I have seen around town, plus from seeing their trucks in town. I live in a very rural area, so getting qualified people to show up is always a struggle.
He showed up promptly the following COLD morning and got right to work. At first I did not think he would be able to loosen the old pipes to make the repair. Those pipes have been in continual use for about 50 years! Anyway, after some hard work, he managed to get everything apart and begin the repair. It has been 9 months since the work was done and all is well. I would call this company again for my plumbing issues.

initial call was for spewing faucet in backyard....next call was for a commode that was running....they were very prompt both times....professionalism was exemplary.....

Blackburn associate attempted to install wash station where he wanted it. Stated station would not install in location I wanted. Associate stated he would have to comeback later to install but never returned. Received a bill later for the service call. I had another plumbing service install station where I needed it. Also during a previous service call installed new p trap on three compartment sink and the parts were not commercial grade. Installed parts look like parts they purchased from Walmart.

Prompt and professional response. Plumber did not have hose to drain old water heater, thought that was odd. The work was preformed quickly, he removed all old equipment and the area was clean when he finished. Price seemed high, but I did not get multiple quotes. He was willing to comply with my home service provider by obtaining an authorization code before completing the work. I would use this company again without hesitation.

It went great on their part, I am so thankful they where able to help me when nobody else would. I have a very busy life with my job and taking care of my mother. I will call them again if I ever have any problems.

First of all i would like to say the service was EXCELLENT!! The courteous lady i spoke with named Jennifer in the office was so helpful in so many ways! When i called i was distraught being a single mom with 5 kids and not having any idea about plumbing she assured me that they would handle it and for me not to worry. AND SHE WAS RIGHT!!! The gentleman that came out was named Cliff (may also say it was so nice talking to adults on first name basis, since most of the time all i talk to is toddlers!) was a gentleman and knew exactly what i needed! He came in inspected ... started the draining of my hot water heater ,,, fixed the leaks,, came back replaced the hot water heater and VIOLA job done under 2 hours and was so reasonible it left some money for the next problem! THANK YOU AGAIN!

Original call and response (plumber was J.R.) were reasonable and price seemed fair. But the original drain blockage re-occurred within a few days at the same place the first blockage happened. I called to see if they could send the plumber back. I told them it appeared that the plumber did not get the blockage completely cleared the first time because it was at the same place again and I asked if they guaranteed their work. They gave the expected answer of and quot;We will not charge if we find that it was our fault.and quot;
They offered to send a plumber late that nght (Friday) and I said the next morning (Saturday) would be fine. The next day, I never heard from anyone at Blackburn Plumbing. I called them the first thing Monday morning and they claimed they sent someone out and could not find the address (remember they had already been here once) and did not have a phone number for me (I checked my first bill and my phone number was listed on there). The receptionist said she talked with the plumber himself (J.R.) and he told her that he had explained to me that there was a 90 bend in the line and it would have to be replaced. He told her since it was under concrete slab, it would have to be jack-hammered out and replaced. None of this was ever brought up when he came out the first time. Sounded like someone was trying to cover their tracks.
In fact, after the plumber said he was done the first time, I told him one of the toilets was still sucking air like a vent pipe was still blocked and he gave some lame excuse that a lot of toilets do that and it was nothing to worry about. My toilets did not do that before the blockage occurred. I suggested he check the vent pipe just in case and he insisted that it was not necessary. I should have pressed the issue, but I hire a plumber because I expect him to know what he is doing. Obviously, this is not the case with this company.
Other services provided by Blackburn may be acceptable, but I suggest that you do not use them for drain cleaning and DO NOT use J.R.

As a follow-up, the company did finally call me back after they received my complaint. The lady who called was very nice and offered a partial refund of $115 and sent the check within a week after that. Because of the follow-up and partial refund, I have changed my rating for Overall Experience from F to D.

I called this plumber at 8:00 a.m. after an unsuccessful call to another plumber. This plumber showed up within 20 minutes. I provided them with a flashlight and plastic tarp to help them with their work. Within 30 minutes they had discovered the problem and solution. The explained the work and cost and left to get a part. They came back and repaired the leaking pipe and were finished by 10:00 a.m. They were very efficient and courteous.

Showed up within an hour of calling them. They did a great job and the price was right. Would definitely use again.

Approximately 25 year old water heater was not performing well, inadequate hot water and such. Plumber arrived on time to inspect existing water heater. Not that difficult to determine the cause but once inspected he explained my options, clean heater core and hope for continued operation or install new energy efficient water heater. I opted for a new water heater and was contacted by the scheduler the same day for a convenient installation date. Plumber arrived on time and began removal of the old water heater immediately. I needed to return to work and felt comfortable leaving him there to complete the task without my supervision. I'm not sure how long he was there but I suspect not very long. He removed the old unit and all the packaging materials from the new unit. There was no visible evidence he had been there or what had occurred earlier that day. I felt the charges for the new unit, and removal and disposal of the old unit were reasonable. I had used this plumber in the past and intend to use them in the future for any plumbing related needs.
