JERRY BURROWS APPRAISAL

We called this company to get an appraisal of our home, barn, accompanying farm buildings, & surrounding acreage.  He did come on the day and time we agreed to but that was about the only thing that was done correctly.  We live next to an oil transfer station that is expanding to within just feet of our home and we seeking a fair appraisal AND a replacement value of the above mentioned items in order to possibly sell to the oil company as we are now living in what I can only describe as living in a truck stop parking lot.  When the man showed up it was apparent that he had no interest in dealing with a woman although this is MY
home, MY land, and it is titled in MY name.  He was very rude to me.  He was a little less rude to my husband, whom he wanted to show him around.  He was not interested in anything that my husband had to say and did not even appraise everything...Just the home.  He did not listen AT ALL to my husband who told him that we needed the barn & land appraised also.  He did add these items to the appraisal even though he DID NOT even look at them.  We asked him not to take into consideration that the oil company was moving in on us but he did.  We tried to explain to him that we needed an appraisal as if we were selling everything to them w/o the added construction that was going on (as was instructed by the oil company to us) and not as if we were selling it on the open market as the oil company will totally demolish the buildings so that they can expand further north & not have to worry with
neighbors. 
Also, they sent us a report on the appraisal and didn't even have my name correct on it.  They put everything in my middle name and not my first name OR EVEN THE NAME AS IT APPEARS AT THE ASSESSOR'S OFFICE AND ON THE DEED.
To sum this up, we had 3 individual appraisals done and this man was not only RUDE and ARROGANT, he was approximately $50,000.00 less than the other 2 appraisals.  We felt as if we had just thrown our $400.00 in the trash & burned it!  So not worth our time and money!!!
