Mr. Dealy sanded the cabinets and took the fronts to his shop to finish. When he brought the doors back, I remarked that the top edges, which were the only problem areas that needed attention, looked like they had a very thin finish. He assured me that this re-finish was going to fix the problem, but if I had any problems, he would return and correct them. Within 6 months, the cabinet finishes began to wear, especially on the edges, and I started calling. After repeated calls, he came to inspect them. He said he would return to re-do the kitchen base cabinets. He was very defensive about the horrible condition of the bath base cabinets. They look just as bad as they did before I hired him. He even accused me of pouring something caustic on the cabinets! I am retired and I live alone, and I was indignant. He finally agreed to re-do all the cabinets. To date, I have called 7 times, and he never responded. I feel as though I was robbed.
