"[Member name removed], I am sorry you were less than 100% satisfied with the job we did. As you know I personally accompany all my crews to each job and spend time discussing and Laying out the job. There is someone at the showroom answering phones from 8 to 5 M-F who can answer most questions or reach me for answers . Futhermore I give all customers we do jobs for my cell number so they may contact me directly if they feel the need to. My crews of course also have that number and though there may be small language barriers on some crews due to the diverse society we now live in. They all know how to reach me. We are usually very punctual to a job, or we will call and advise you of any delays. Things can and do happen when trying to pick up materials or travel through traffic . I always answer my phone unless Im on a call or talking to a customer, in which case I always return calls promptly. We pride ourselfs in our communication. I always personally go by and check on ongoing and completed jobs to verify quality, cleanup and customer satisfaction. I do not recall you bringing any issue to my attention, I have checked our phone log book for any messages I might have missed or may not have been given and have not found any report. I am not sure how we failed so badly to serve you. I can only offer my sincerest apologies. Please feel free to contact me directly, if you don't have cell number my office will provide it for you. At very least let me offer you a 15% discount on any future work. Your satisfaction is paramount."
Next, the kitchen, half-bath, and utility room had refrigerator, washer, dryer, and toilet temporarily moved from their locations. Base boards were temporarily removed, and linoleum was then stripped from all three areas, and tile was laid down diagonally, as requested. The refrigerator, washer, and dryer were then reinstalled in their locations. The toilet was reinstalled by a certified plumber. All debris was promptly removed before personnel left each day.
The work was done in five days and at the original price, as originally estimated. All personnel were very friendly, professional, and punctual. They even made one or two return visits to fix minor things that had been accidentally missed in original installation. Tony returned several times to oversee the work and consult with us.
All work done was excellent, and we are very happy with the results. We recommend Tile by Tony very highly for any such work.
Thanks to each and every one!
company . We would also like to compliment his office staff also. They are always extremely helpful. We started by going to his store to pick the floor tile and granite. We then met Tony at the supplier to pick the exact piece of granite. I think it was Verona marble co. We picked out the tile for the back splash at Emser. The had a great selection. Everything was done in a week. Counter top was done first the floor tile second and back splash last. It took a few days for them to cut and shape the granite. But when they started it went fast taking only 5 days from tear out to completion. Excellent work.
The whole project was completed in less than 3 weeks!
I visited the showroom and was greeted very warmly and helpfully. The woman in the store helped me with coorindating materials. Also when we started the project, she kept me apprised of the schedule. I selected a few samples and made an appointment for an in home consultation. The guy who set up the project, took initial measurements and after I chose the type of material I wanted, gave me a very detailed estimate for the project. He even gave me some ideas of how to better utilize the granite. At first the price seemed high (I had had other estimates from other places), but then I realized that they had included everything needed to complete the project including other needed pieces of the project not on the other estimates, like baseboard removal and replacement and plumbing removal and replacement. After I selected the exact materials I wanted, the project contract was presented and it was very close to the estimate. At the end the only extra money I paid was for a few items I added to the project after the contract was signed.
They started the very next week! The whole demo was huge and they did it very carefully and considerately. The crew was professional and obviously knew what they were doing. They answered all of my questions and I felt at ease with them. Tony visited the site every workday to make sure that both he and I were pleased with the work. I thought that I was fussy, but Tony saw things that I did not. Tony made sure that I understood what was happening and if I wanted something changed, he made it happen if he could. To add to the difficulty we saw that the walls were not true nor square. Also the whole time all the crews were very careful not to track stuff into the house. (Aside to anyone using Tony: you do not have to be there the whole time they are there, if you can be flexible they will get your project done quickly. I saw that he tries to use his crews efficiently.)
They first removed the baseboards and powder room plumbing and then moved the refrigerator to another part of the house so that we could still use it. They draped the other parts of the house without doors with sheets of plastic to cut the dust traveling and covered the cabinets with plastic to keep the dust out of the cabinets. They put the washer and dryer in the garage and then removed the ceramic tile floor. (Aside to anyone having this kind of work done: I left everything in the kitchen cabinets and drawers and carefully covered them with trash bags. That worked pretty well. It was easier than packing everything up, but either way you have some work to do with that.)
My project was not an easy one with lots doorways and lots of odd angles and lots of carpet edges, but they were able to put down an absolutely beautiful and well laid floor. His tile guys are great. They also helped me select the grout color.
Next they removed the backsplash and countertops and the gas range. They worked very hard at leaving me a functional kitchen as much of the time as possible.
The granite guys that they have were almost magicians at working with the tricky angles in our countertops and walls. The measurements and installation were perfect including a new granitelike sink. A little touchup paint and the undertrim for the cabinets was all that was needed.
The undercabinet lights were permantly installed. The tile guys came back and installed the tumbled marble backspash. They put the tile at the diagonal and also a few accent tiles and switch plates were installed.
Last but not least came all the replacement work. The carpet guy reedged all the many tile to carpet edges. The plumber reinstalled all the fixtures in the powder room and the new fixture in the kitchen and the new sink hookup. And of course the carpenter replaced all the baseboards and the many other touchup things that were needed. The fridge and laundry room appliances were also put back in place. Since the floor was so large, I had them seal the grout.
They did it all: professionally and much faster that I ever dreamed that it could be done! Now my kitchen and connecting rooms
look so wonderful! They look so perfectly coordinated that several asked if we had replaced the cabinets also. Thanks to Tony and all his people we are enjoying a much more beautiful home.
We really love him. He is our contractor and he is doing everything from A to Z. We find him to be very honest and he has done an excellent job. He is expensive, but I would hire him again in the future.
