Rapid Heat and Air

My Ac was installed with a new construction. I did not choose Rapid Heat and Air my contractor did. Immediately we had issues with the unit not working and it was blamed on me not having new filters in the unit. We have replaced the filters every 30-60 days since taking possession of the new home. Come to find out the issue was actually the fault of the install where glue had blocked the drainage of the condensation. This in turn activated the emergency shut off. The BIGGEST with Rapid Heat and Air and the Trane unit has been when the unit runs it fills my house with the smell of mildew (also know as dirty sock syndrome). This is and has also been blamed on me even though it’s been happening from day one. (I was told it’s my Scentsy warmers or candles or my dogs). Rapid Heat and Air came out and supposedly cleaned the coil and fumigated the house and installed a UV light on the unit that would resolve the issue. We’ve continued the have the issue. In the last 60 days we’ve replace the bulb on the UV light 2 times (100$+ per bulb).thinking that maybe we had a bad bulb. This has also not helped. I feel these efforts were done to drag out the inevitable that we got a LEMON unit. We feel that the unit should have been replace by Trane and also Rapid Heat and Air a long time ago. DO NOT use Rapid Heat and Air if you want a company that will go to bat for you against the manufacturer to resolve a issue, instead Rapid Heat and Air place blame and bandaids on issues. To someone who has never experienced this Dirty Sock Syndrome it takes your breath away! It wakes you in the dead of sleep! It makes you hate your new home because the smell is so overpowering. Please take this in to account when choosing a company for your AC needs. If it’s your contractor who chooses and they happen to choose Rapid Heat and Air tell them you want a different company
