Gorilla Brothers Lawn and Landscape In

They never gave us a manual for the system.  I have called at least 4 times and he said he would put it in the mail.  I have not received the manual.  He also does landscaping which I feel is overpriced.  I asked for 3 cedar plants and he gave me 2 and supplemented with hydrangea plants.

They put in a new sub pump, he put garden cloth as a barrier which clogged up and made my whole house flood because it wasn't working. I had to chase them down to look at it before it flooded and he said it was working. Called several times and set up appointments and they did not show up.

My neighbor chose Gorilla Brothers to build a fence for his family, me (neighbor to the west) and his other neighbor (to the east). The neighbor in the middle needed three sides of his fence built and me and the other neighbor needed two sides. The first red flag came when the quote came back with the entire job measured out and divided equally three ways. After explaining it a few times to Mike Buerker he sent a revised quote. He initially quoted us a price per linear foot that was cheaper than any of the other fence companies but when the quote came back the price per foot was great but he greatly exaggerated the length of fence needed. Red flag #2. I have a access to a measuring wheel so I had him come back out and measure again. (As he "walked off" the distance before, he "walked it off" again." Then I brought out the wheel and showed him how he was mis-meausuring. We finally agreed to the measurement. (His initially measurement was almost the length of my entire lot and I was only getting a fence in the backyard.
When they came and actually built the fence they had issues with getting the fence in a straight line. In addition they initially hung the runners on the wrong post of the part of the fence that was initially installed by the builder. It should have been on the middle post between my house and my neighbor's but they attached to the post inside my property line. At least I caught it and showed them before they got too far along. 
They used a nail gun and had the pressure too high. All the nails on the pickets are sunk into the pickets and are sticking out of the runners on the other side. I'm fortunate in that the runners are all in my neighbor's yard however, it is a hazard to anyone that lean against the runners. They'll be poked by the point of the nails. 
They had to come back and add more posts to at least one of the fence line as the fence would sway in the wind. 
The fences are not straight which is very apparent when mowing the lawn. 
In addition I had a gate installed. They dug out my grass and left a hole of dirt so that the gate would swing open. When I pointed that out they responded by saying, "how else is the gate supposed to open?" If we didn't do that, we'd have to raise the entire fence line 2 inches. I said I have two other gates on my property that do not have a hole in front of them that open just fine.
Overall the result for all of us was as if this was the first time they ever built a fence. The fence lines are not straight, they left gaps where the fences come together, they drilled into my neighbors wiring for his sprinkler system (and never repaired it). The entire job was a fiasco and would NEVER recommend them for any job to anyone ever!

We had water flooding into our garage every time it rained.  I knew we needed to resolve the issue but wasn't sure who we needed to call to figure out the best solution.  Our daughters suggested a friend of theirs - who is one of the owners of Gorilla Brothers.  Mike came out and surveyed the area gave us a quote of $2600 to do the work and said weather permitting that they could start the next week.  The weather did hold up the work a few days but they finished in one day even having to hand dig around a lot large boulders.

Since the pool was finsished so late, we had a short fuse on the landscaping project.  We had several outfits come out and take a look and got a wide range of prices.  Mike (Gorilla Brothers) came out and gave us a timely reply and a very favorable start up date.  We chose Gorilla Brothers not just because of their competitive pricing (they weren't the cheapest), but because of their atttentiveness and attitude.  We were happy with their efforts from start to finish.  They did an excellent job and were there when they told us they would be there.  My wife and I are extremely happy with the results and would recommend Gorilla Brothers to anyone that is need for landscaping.

They did a very quick job.  They were very fast.  When most of my plants died and I called, they wouldn’t come back.  I will not work with them again.

I do not have any experience with Gorilla Bros doing mowing or other soft landscaping.

Gorilla Bros did some hardspace patio work and did not perform well. Gorilla Bros subcontracted out all the patio work and only showed up to inspect after the work was done. The subcontractor did not do quality work and the job had to be redone by another contractor I located through this site.

Gorilla Bros bid the job wrong and wanted an extra $1000 after the work was performed because the subcontractor and he apparently did not discuss the job specs.  Gorilla Bros was very unprofessional in dealing with me on coming up with a mutual satisfactory solution.

I would not recommend this company for hardscape work.

Mike Buerker, the owner, was prompt, provided great advice, gave alternative plans, and installed quickly and professionally.  I would use Gorilla Brothers again and recommend them to friends and family.
