Contractors Just 4 U

Charlie didn't do a threshold for the French door even though he charged us $7 extra for some supposed super adhesive glue he was supposed to have used on it. The trim was left undone and the door did not close well. Charlie has an issue which causes his hands to shake rather violently. This condition, and his use of a reciprocating saw did not bode well for my gutter drains, which he cut into. It cost me $300 to get this door fixed.

The contractor Charlie Potter used old, inferior, concrete board siding that did not match grain or width of existing siding. (He replaced 2 outside walls the previous year with concrete siding and we were finishing the other 2 walls). When error reported, his comment and attitude was that the width did not have to match exisiting siding and that the grain difference also did not matter. As the previous siding was off the outside walls, we felt trapped into having him complete the work. We renegotiated the job which resulted in our having to buy the correct siding and paint the siding once applied. We ended up paying more money and would never recommend this contractor to anyone. He is intent on receiving money without integrity.
On the bathroom subfloor repair, we are now having to fix it again as the wood was not replaced and the soft areas have returned.
