Work done, no issues. Service fees are probably comparable to any other place.

Great customer service. Would for sure have my transmission repaired there. As for other services I will probably go somewhere cheaper. I have another mechanic where the hourly rate is not as high and does great work. However, they have great customer service and they gave me the angies list discount ans then some more becuase I was spending so much. So they were very kind to do so. You want your transmission done right this is the place to go. Warranty and all!!

I referred a friend for a transmission overhaul.  Did an excellent job and less than other competitors.  Very good communication and responsive.

The original quote was $2300, but there were numerous other issues. He was upfront about the additional costs and I opted for his recommended repairs. I did not really shop around for price, so I am not sure how competitive he was, but I am confident it was done right and that was my priority.  My truck was finished when promised. Builders was upfront, honest, the work was solid and the customer service is good.
Builders provides more than transmission services and they are now my go to auto shop. I would absolutely recommend them.

The service was great and everything was discussed upfront. There were no hidden fees and the price was the best around. This is the shop I will take my pickup to for all drivetrain work.

Awesome! I was so expecting to be told I needed a new transmission (especially having 280,000+ miles).  But to have only a leak and service, I saved over 75% not having it replaced!  To have an honest, trustworthy person, to work with is great.  So many times, as a women, we get shindigged?!  But not here!  I will always recommend them and will always use them from now on!  You should too!

We took the car in due to a strange vibration.  They found the issue to be a motor mount and repaired it.  They also pointed out that there was a really bad oil leak that had caused the car to be nearly without oil.  They filled up the engine with oil (for no charge) and provided a price to repair the oil leak, but did not pressure us in any way to make that repair.  This is my son's car and he didn't have the money to do anything else.  They recognized that he was serving in the Air Force and gave him a discount and were very supportive of him and his choice to serve our country.    Fast forward a few months and the transmission went out.  We brought it back to Builders and they quoted us a price to rebuild the transmission for around $2000.  This is my son's car, which has 320,000 miles on it and is only worth $1500 (if we're lucky).  So, it wasn't worth it to rebuild.  Builders allowed us to leave the car on their property while we tried to find a replacement transmission from a salvage.  After about 3 weeks of it being on their property they called us and told us that they found a transmission that was in good condition and would put it in.  We had them do it and it's been great ever since.  It is now a year later and we haven't had any issues with the replacement transmission or the motor mount.  I would recommend Builders to anyone.   They went above and beyond the call of duty to help my son get his car back on the road.

They took apart the transmission and found that it had a crack and due to overuse probably had some internal gears damaged.
Also a vibration I had identified came from a back bearing that was going south very fast.
It took a bit longer, in part because Mf. J. McCollough seems to be a fanatic about checking things out, which makes me happy.
I think they did an excellent job, and the price was very close to the original estimate.

I am very pleased with the work that Jeff and his crew did. The price was exactly what he quoted and work done on time. It isn't a large transmission chain so if you are looking just for nice lounge then go to aamco but if you want quality, friendly, experienced service you won't go wrong here. Everything was explained to me in terms I could understand and was kept informed of the work and problems during the process. Office staff is very friendly and Jeff was easy to work with. He has worked on my daughters fiancés car and he was very pleased with the work and price also and would also recommend Builders to anyone needing transmission work.

I took my vehicle in because my transmission was leaking fluid. I asked Jeff ( the shop owner) to find where it was leaking from, so they put the vehicle on the lift to check it out. Jeff called me about 45 minutes later and said it was leaking from where the cases joined and it would be about $500 to repair. Since I was considering trading it in, I opted to forgo the repair and just have them replace the lost fluid. He told me that my vehicle required synthetic fluid and charged $75 for 4 quarts on the refill. I then was able to look under the car myself and found the leak to be coming from a pan gasket which I then replaced for a cost of $8 plus $15 for fluid ( not synthetic) as required by my owners manual.

They evaluated the problem quickly and showed us exactly what happened. They rebuilt the transmission quickly & replaced the oil pan gasket. The oil pan gasket may seem trivial but on our car you have to remove part of frame to replace. They did it for the parts since it was already exposed. They were friendly & knowledgeable. They have a two warranty on the work.

My transmission had a significant leak. Another place told me I needed a new transmission. I took it to Builders Transmission and was told it was only a leak and it could be fixed over the weekend. My transmission was fixed over the weekend as promised and I charged exactly what the estimate quoted. Its been over a month since my transmission was repaired and I have not had any problems thus far.

Provider was knowledgeable and professional.  Explained options and the pros and cons of each option so that we could make informed decision on what option to chose. Provider then provided service per his given schedule and budget.

The work was done as quoted and the vehicle delivered a day earlier than promised.  So far, it seems that all is well, and since there is a 2 year warranty on the work, I am confident that the work has been done the correct way and that measures have been put in place that will prevent recurrence.
