We have a home warranty company and Hudgins Plumbing responded to the request. There was a leak in the bathroom behind the toilet. It appeared to be dripping behind the wall as the Sheetrock was damp. The house is for sale and had been sitting empty for about 45 days. Hudgins plumbing came out and said they found no leak. We had turned off the water when the leak was discovered, the technician did not stay around long enough after turning the water on to find the problem. Instead he ripped off the baseboard and tore off the Sheetrock causing hundreds of dollars in damage. I called and spoke to Barbette, (their very snarky office manager). She defended her technician and took no responsibility for the poor job. No offer to repair the damages and not even an offer to refund the service fee which was paid. Instead she said, “We will never service your homes again!” To that I replied, “That’s good, because I never want to use your company again!”. They are very unprofessional.

We have had John Hudgins Plumbing service our home for the last 5 years. Their tech Dean has honestly been amazing and we have been very happy, until recently. We called for a plumbing stoppage on our mainline. Dean came out, ran a snake with a camera down there only to discover two issues that needed to be fixed. One of the two issues was that a previous tech from their company (not Dean) who came and did a clean out of our mainline, got his cable stuck in our main drain line. The tech at the time told us he got it stuck and said he would work to get it out. Well we trusted he got it out. Come to find out a year and a half later, he in fact, did not get it out, and did not tell us. So in order to fix the two issues that needed to be addressed (one being getting THEIR cable out), they quoted us $4000 and said we would need to basically dig up our whole backyard. Today I simply called the office and asked if they would be willing to cover part of the cost of this large project since their tech created one of the two issues which was getting their cable stuck in our line (which is blocking everything up). I did not expect them to cover the entire cost, but I did expect someone with some empathy and someone who would recognize that they created part of the issue we are having. I had hoped they would offer us some type of price break, even if it was a few hundred dollars. But all I got was "it's your faulty pipe that got our cable stuck in the first place, so we won't be able to help you with covering any of the cost." Honestly I couldn't believe how rude and snarky the office lady was, and she was communicating with the owner at the time. I would have expected some type of customer service that acknowledges the issue and works to resolve it with a reasonable and honest step. Clearly they are just in this for the money and do not take accountability for part of the problem they created. Good luck if you ever have to deal with them.

I noticed a leak in the kitchen on 5/8/23. My home warranty sent them out and after 4 visits they supposedly "found & fixed" the leak and was told I would see residual water, but it still seemed like a lot of water a still. After removing my cabinets and flooring we confirmed it was active water coming in still. Whatever they "found and fixed" resolved nothing....active water still coming in. I think they tjougjt they found the issue, realized there was nothing wrong with the area they "fixed" which is why they didn't take pictures, pocketed the money, said they fixed it, and left. Water never stopped leaking in my kitchen. They refused to own up to the fact that at the very least they overlooked the true cause of the water/water damage just so they don't have to refund me $2k. Do not use this company or let your home warranty select them for you.

Came out in 2017 and replaced water heater. Come November 2020 the water heater is leaking already. Call Water heater tank company and expansion tank company. They inform me their products were not installed properly. Call inspectors, inspectors confirm wrong installation and illegal install. Call John Hudgins to confront them. They say too bad they need payment again to fix their mistakes. Tell me to find someone else.

I placed a service call via my Home Warranty company. Even though it was very close to closing time for them, they called me right away and set up an appointment for the next day. They were not only on time, they were actually early getting to my home. The technician John was very friendly and diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. He even took time to answer my questions once the job was complete. I was quite happy with my experience with them.

I called for 3 items:  Replacing a diverter in a kitchen faucet (I supplied the diverter), securing a loose exterior hose faucet, and replacing a length of rigid pipe with flex pipe to reduce noise from a gas furnace valve.  I had seen some negative reviews on Angie's List and called to speak to them about who was coming.  They assured me they'd have a qualified plumber come with a very low "recall" rate.
He did replace the diverter, which I supplied.  (The diverter diverts water from the faucet to the sprayer when the sprayer is used; when the diverter is clogged, the water "thumps" out of the faucet.)  He did replace the diverter, but after a short time (month or two), the water was thumping worse than before, which tells me he didn't flush the line of debris before replacing this part.  Disappointing.
Worse, he didn't secure the exterior faucet (said he didn't have anything to do that with - caulk, anyone?), and inexplicably, didn't replace the rigid pipe with flex hose at all.  We have a gas furnace in the attic over our master bedroom, and when the gas valve clicks on and off, it resonates in the ceiling.  We were advised by the HVAC guys to have a short section of rigid pipe replaced with flex, so the vibration from the valve would not be transmitted to the ceiling joists.  I talked with the Hudgins plumber that day on the phone, and he said "the rigid pipe is installed correctly, and I wouldn't use any more flex pipe than necessary."  Code allows the use of flex pipe, and we're only talking about 3-4' length here, so I told him "Just use whatever length you would use at your own house."  He took it upon himself to conclude he wouldn't use any flex pipe for his own house... so he used NONE - not solving one of the main problems we'd paid for him to solve!  And, he said NOTHING to me about this on the phone - left me with the understanding he would replace 3-4'.
I was irked, but, by this time it was spring, so we just waited until the current winter to see how the noise would be (new house, settling, etc.).  Well, the noise still wakes me up at night, so, I called Hudgins back in December and explained that I WANTED TO BE A HAPPY CUSTOMER, but I was not, and wanted them to do what was reasonable to make it right.  I offered to pay for the work not done, but, indicated I did not want to pay for another $85 service call.  Amanda was initially VERY helpful - although she was off the week I called, she offered to go to the office and research it.  I told her that wasn't necessary; we'd waited a while and I could wait another week and to enjoy her holiday.
Apparently the owner isn't so accommodating, because she left a message the next week that "because the original call was so long ago", he wasn't willing to do anything.
After several rounds of phone tag (it's a little weird because 90% of the time I call, an answering service takes the call and Hudgins calls you back), we weren't connecting, and eventually I got no return call.  So, I left a message with their answering service (a bunch of VERY nice ladies, by the way), saying, "Look, I can't get them to call me back.  I don't want to write a negative review on Angie's List but that's what I am about to do."  After that Amanda did call me back again, and said the owner would "work with me."  I asked Amanda what that meant, specifically - I didn't want to have them out and get into a fight over the charges.  I stated I'd be happy to pay for the work if they would just waive the service call.  She said the owner himself would have to call me back and I requested that he do so.  I NEVER heard from them again.
I felt I went above and beyond to avoid writing this review.  I tried very hard to work with them but the short story is, I paid for work that was never done (in the end, none of it was completed properly or at all), and because 8 months or so went by, they simply refused to work with me AT ALL.  In my book, $85 is not much of a cost to just work with someone, and no matter how much time elapsed, the work I paid for simply wasn't done.
I will never call them again and strongly recommend others against them.  It's too bad because they used to have an office in Jenks, where we live, with a cute hot water heater with eyes, a mouth, and arms waving to cars passing by out front.  Cute marketing, poor service and responsiveness  - a bad deal for us.

Another firm had installed a hot and cold water external faucet and connected the hot water supply to the discharge of my Noritz tankless hot water heater. Unfortuately both the hot and cold copper pipes that were connected to the outdoor-mounted combination faucet froze and burst. I have not heard from them concerning the replacement. The tech told me that Hudgen does not work on Tankless hot water systems, but the isolation valves were not installed on the tankless system. The tech was very prompt, courteous, and the contact person at Hudgens was very polite and responsive. I had called three plumbing companies prior to Hudgens. They were all too busy to reposed to my needs, except for one company that offered to provide a tech after normal working hours at $195 per labor, with a 4 hour minimum!

It went great, Ed did a wonderful job. He was very thorough, on time and very professional and courteous. He replaced a leaky bathtub faucet and educated me on why it was happening and preventative measures in the future. This took place at my rental property.

We didn't choose Hudgins Plumbing. We had just purchased our house and it came with an AHS home warranty and Hudgins Plumbing was their contractor of choice. So, we really didn't have an option. We had a couple old valves in the laundry room that were leaking, and the plumber that came knew exactly what was wrong almost immediately. He was in and out in less than 10 minutes. He arrived promptly at the time they said he would be there and took care of the problem fast. The receptionist who I talked to on the phone when I scheduled the appointment was very friendly and helpful as well. Hopefully, nothing else goes wrong with our plumbing within the next year or I will be seeing these guys again, but if it does I would feel comfortable having them come do the work again.

Any work that John, the owner, did was great. John had another plumber, though, working for him at the time who had to come back 3 times before all problems were resolved. Each time he left, he said the work was complete. One time, he was going to leave and not tell me the shower handles leaked. John's worker also did not want to leave me with some paperwork, a receipt and description of work done. When I asked him for the receipt, he said, "Why do you need it? It's warranty work." In my thinking, I have a right to have a record of all work done in my home. I would hire the company for another job only if John, the owner, came to do the work. John does great work.

The service was thorough, friendly and efficient. Hudgins even offered tips on how to prevent future problems from tree roots.
